🔴⚪ Mini & Juniors ⚪🔴

Another hectic week for our Mini & Junior section and, dear readers, let me tell you, this Mini & Junior Chairman is running on little more than tea, rugby and sheer determination trying to keep you all updated!

Our Minis were all at home this weekend, enjoying a fantastic morning of rugby and fun as we welcomed our friends from to sunny Rhyl. Smiles, tackles and plenty of tries all round!

Meanwhile, our U12s, U13s, U14s and U15s were flying the flag on the road in Week 2 of the RGC Cup competition, taking on fixtures at Clwb Rygbi Cobra, Clwb Rygbi Wrecsam, Clwb Rygbi Bethesda and Clwb Rygbi Llandudno respectively.

Last, but certainly not least, a massive well done to our U16s, who made the trip to Clwb Rygbi Nant Conwy and came away with a hard-fought victory. A tremendous effort from the boys and a result that was thoroughly deserved.

As always, a huge thank you to our coaches, volunteers, parents and supporters who make weekends like these possible. Your dedication never goes unnoticed.

Now, if you'll excuse me, this Mini & Junior Chairman is off for a well-earned lie down! And maybe a beverage 😉
Da iawn pawb! 🔴⚪️

As a grass roots club we rely on the generosity of our sponsors to help keep the team going.

We are extremely lucky at Rhyl Dragons u9s to have such fantastic support from our sponsors.

Today we would like to particularly thank

Simone & Lee Grocott over at Dollymix Events for their extremely kind donation of new water bottles for the team ❤️🖤

Marion Resort and Spa for providing post match food for the team. The players (and coaches 😆) were last seen tucking into a huge platter of tasty sausage rolls 😋

We appreciate all your help so from all the team and the parents thankyou very much

A great performance from the team today! We saw some excellent tackling and a real improvement in communication on the field.

A special mention to Harry, who made his debut today, welcome to the team! And well done to everyone for some great runs; keep up the good work.

Our Player of the Match today is Teddy, for his outstanding tackling. 👊 ❤️🖤🏉

Rhyl & District RFC U9's had a brilliant day today taking part in the RGC Pre-Match Engagement Activity at Stadiwm CSM, Parc Eirias. The girls and boys took part in a Transition to Tackle coaching session in the Indoor Arena, followed by the chance to play on the pitch at half time and take part in a Guard of Honour. A great experience for the team!

What a fantastic effort today from all the team, winning 2 out of the 3 games that they played over at Caernarfon this morning 🏆 🏉
The team played on slightly bigger pitches for the first time and they hit the challenge head on with some speedy runs, fantastic tackling and amazing Trys 🙌
Great team effort. POM was won today by Ruairí McCrudden for his excellent communication as captain and his fantastic Trys ❤️🖤🏉

🔴⚪ Mini &Juniors ⚪🔴

And so it begins 🔴⚪️

Our Rhyl & District Mini & Juniors season kicked off strongly today, with all age groups from U7s to U16s represented both at home and away.

There will be a lot of tired legs this evening, including those of the coaches and volunteers who work tirelessly and give up their own time to support our players week in, week out throughout the season.

Next week also sees the start of the RGC Cup, and once again we are proud to have teams represented across every age group in the competition.

Good luck to you all! 🔴⚪️
