A frustrating night at the John Keegan stadium last night as Marske Utd U-21’s let a 2 goal lead slip against a determines Swalwell with the game finishing all square at 3-3.

Marske goals came from Alfie Chambers brace and Oscar Stephenson.

An under par performance from the squad on the night and a long way away from the preseason performances we have seen will need to be addressed before our next match in a fortnight as we entertain Chester le Street U-21’s at the John Keegan Stadium on Thursday 8th October.

Solid performances from the ever consistent George Arundell and Connor Booth controlling the midfield well before having to retire injured early in the 2nd half, MOTM for the 2nd game on the bounce goes to Alfie Chambers who grabbed another brace and who worked his socks off all night as he covered every blade of grass.

As always thanks to everyone who came down to watch and also a big thanks to the volunteers who came down to help with The Kabin, recover the balls and the team announcements.

It’s game day and Marske Utd U-21’s opening league game of the season at the John Keegan stadium as we open our campaign as we entertain Swalwell U-21’s with kick off scheduled for 19:30.

With free entry and refreshments available from The Kabin (cash only) up until half time why not get yourself down to see if Marske U-21’s can follow up Tuesday nights fantastic performance and result from the men’s 1st team and make it 2 wins in a week for Marske Utd sides.

After the 1st teams exciting 3-2 win over high flying Shildon this evening football returns to the John Keegan stadium on Thursday night as Marske Utd U-21’s open their league campaign with a home game against Swalwell U-21’s.

With kickoff at 19:30 and free entry why not come down and support the U-21’s who hope to start the season with a win.

Hot drinks and refreshments will be available from The Kabin up until half time - cash only.

Marske Utd U-21’s completed their preseason with a 4-0 victory over Redcar Town U-18’s.

Marske started very slowly in what was a scrappy 1st half but thanks to a brace by Robbie Cuthbert they led 2-0 at the interval.

In the 2nd half Marske controlled the game better but again never really came out of 2nd gear with goals from Oscar Stephenson and Alfie Chambers resulting in the 4-0 victory.

MOTM went to Alfie Chambers who worked his socks off, grabbed a goal and was a threat throughout the game. Robbie Cuthbert also put in another fine performance as he grabbed his 2nd brace in his last 2 outings and Connor Booth did everything right after coming on in the centre of the pitch as he controlled the pace of the game and spread the play.

Thanks to everyone who turned up to support tonight and we hope to see you back in 2 weeks time as we open up our league campaign with a home game against Hartlepool Utd U-21’s.

A selection of photos from our 6-4 victory vs Stockton Town U-18’s on Wednesday evening.

Our last home friendly will be on Wednesday 9th September before the season starts on Thursday 24th September when we open the season with a home fixture vs Hartlepool United U-21’s.

Another exciting evening of football at the John Keegan stadium this evening with the game ending with a 6-4 win for Marske Utd U-21’s.

Braces each for Robbie Cuthbert, Harvey Dawson and Alfie Chambers helped to bring the win home.

As a whole the team played fantastically as they pressed and harassed their opponents for the entire game. The speed and quality of our attacking football was impressive and perhaps we should have scored more goals.

As usual particular mentions go to Robbie Cuthbert, Tom Lowe, Charlie Allington and Alfie Chambers who caused all kinds of issues for the opponent.

It was also great to see Harvey Dawson back with the U-21’s with his 1st of 2 goals and incredible finish into the far top corner on his weaker foot.

Thanks to everyone who came down to support tonight.

Exiting 1st half of football at the John Keegan stadium sees Marske Utd U-21’s leading Stockton Town U18’s 2-1 at half time.

Marske Utd U-21’s return to home action at the John Keegan Stadium this evening as they entertain Stockton Town U-18’s.

Marske will be hoping to build on last weeks 6-3 victory vs Primrose Hill U-18’s where the side played exceptionally well in spells.

Tonight will be a different game as the two sides played each other in their 1st preseason encounter where Stockton came out with a 4-1 victory.

With kick off scheduled for 19:30 and free entry why not come down and support the lads.
