🔍 MYTH MONDAY

"If the professionals use it, I should too."

We've all done it.

Seen a top rider using a piece of equipment, a supplement or a particular brand and thought:

"If it's good enough for them, it must be good enough for me."

But many professional riders work with sponsors. That's part of modern sport, and those partnerships often reflect products they genuinely value.

That doesn't automatically make those products the right choice for you and your horse.

The better question isn't:

"Who uses it?"

It's:

"Why do they use it?"

What problem is it solving?

What benefit does it bring to that horse and rider combination?

Would it solve the same problem for you and your horse?

The best buying decisions aren't made because someone successful uses a product.

They're made because you understand how it works, why it works, and whether it's the right solution for you, your horse and your goals.

Don't copy the rider. Understand the reason.

✨ Performance-led. Welfare first.

👇 We'd love to hear your thoughts.

Have you ever bought something because you saw a professional using it? Did it live up to your expectations?

Championship Sunday

What an incredible achievement.

A huge congratulations to .dovey.dressage , , and , who have proudly won Team Bronze for Great Britain at the FEI Children on Horses European Dressage Championships in Olomouc, Czech Republic.

To represent your country at a European Championship is an honour.

To come home with a medal is something truly special.

These talented young riders have demonstrated dedication, professionalism and composure on one of the biggest stages in youth dressage, making everyone back home incredibly proud.

We couldn't be prouder to see the British Children on Horses team looking so smart in Lotus Romeo throughout the Championships.

Congratulations to every rider, every horse, their families, trainers and the entire support team behind the scenes.

Bronze medals.
💙 Memories for life.
✨ A future that looks incredibly bright.

Congratulations from everyone at Absolute Equestrian Collective.

🔬 FACT FRIDAY

Not all "technical fabrics" perform the same.

We hear the phrase technical fabric all the time.

Today, we decided to measure it.

In identical conditions, with an ambient temperature of 29°C, one rider stood still in direct sunshine wearing:

☀️ No jacket
☀️ A Lotus Romeo jacket
☀️ Another leading premium competition jacket

No exercise.
No walking.
No airflow.
No variables other than the jacket itself.

The thermal imaging results were:

🌿 No jacket: 36.6°C

🌿 Lotus Romeo: 37.7°C

🌿 Premium comparison jacket: 42.7°C

That's a difference of 5°C between two jackets both described as "technical."

Perhaps even more impressive...

The Lotus Romeo jacket measured just 1.1°C warmer than wearing no jacket at all.

Technical fabrics aren't just about being lightweight.

They're about how efficiently they manage heat, allowing your body to stay cooler and more comfortable when the temperature rises.

Marketing claims are easy.

Objective measurements tell a much more interesting story.

🌿 Thoughtful Thursday

Perhaps one of the biggest lessons horses teach us...

Is patience.

We live in a world that expects instant results.

Stronger.

Fitter.

Calmer.

More supple.

More successful.

But horses don't measure progress in days.

They don't care about deadlines.

They simply respond to the consistency of what we do for them.

Every feed.

Every ride.

Every decision.

Every act of care.

Real progress isn't built in a single session.

It's built in the hundreds of small decisions nobody else sees.

Because extraordinary horses aren't created by extraordinary moments.

They're created by ordinary moments, repeated extraordinarily well.

💭 Think Different Tuesday

This week's heatwave has exposed something we've accepted for far too long.

Why do we still think it's normal for a competition jacket to feel hot, restrictive and uncomfortable?

In every other sport, technical clothing is designed to help athletes perform. It's lightweight, breathable and engineered to work with the body not against it.

So why should our sport be any different?

Whether you compete in dressage, showjumping, eventing, driving or showing, you're an athlete. Your competition jacket shouldn't simply meet a dress code. It should support your performance, keep you comfortable and allow you to focus on the one thing that matters most your horse.

At Absolute Equestrian Collective, we believe every piece of equipment should earn its place through performance. Your jacket should be no exception.

Perhaps it's time we stopped accepting "that's just the way competition jackets are."

Perhaps it's time we expected more.

💬 When choosing a competition jacket, should performance be just as important as appearance or even more important?🤔🤔🤔

🔍 Myth Monday

Myth: If your horse isn't lame, they're comfortable.

The truth?

Horses are masters at adapting.

They don't always tell us through obvious lameness.

Sometimes they whisper instead.

A little less reach.

A shorter stride.

A reluctance to bend.

Difficulty in one transition.

Changes in behaviour.

A loss of sparkle.

Comfort isn't simply the absence of lameness.

It's the freedom to move, perform and recover without unnecessary restriction.

That's why we believe in looking at the whole picture—nutrition, tack, movement, management and recovery.

Because the smallest signs often tell the biggest stories.

🤔 Sunday Reflection

This week's heat has challenged all of us.

It has changed routines.

Cancelled plans.

Made us think differently.

Perhaps that's no bad thing.

Sometimes the greatest act of horsemanship isn't knowing when to push...

It's knowing when to pause.

As we head into a new week, here's something to reflect on...

Have the decisions you've made this week been led by your diary...

..or by your horse?

🐴 We'd love to hear your thoughts.

🏆 Success Saturday

Messages like this are exactly why we believe comfort and freedom of movement should never be underestimated.

When horse and rider are working together, small changes can sometimes make a remarkable difference.

The Scharf Freedom Girth wasn't designed to be different for the sake of it. It was designed to work with the horse's natural movement, allowing greater freedom while maintaining saddle stability.

Choosing the right size was just as important as choosing the right girth, and we're delighted we could help Lindsey and Fiji find the perfect fit.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. Nothing makes us happier than hearing a horse is moving more freely and a rider comes away smiling.

📚 Fact Friday

💭 Your horse doesn't get stronger during training.

They get stronger during recovery.

Training provides the stimulus.

Recovery is when the body repairs, adapts and prepares for the next challenge.

That's why what happens between rides is just as important as what happens during them.

🌿 Thoughtful nutrition.

🚶 Appropriate movement.

😴 Quality rest.

💡 Smart recovery strategies.

Whether that's allowing time to adapt, supporting the body through good management, or using technologies such as PHlow to complement your horse's recovery programme, the goal is always the same...

To help your horse recover well so they can perform at their best again tomorrow.

Because progress isn't made by training harder.

It's made by recovering better.

✨ Performance-led. Welfare first.

🌿 Thoughtful Nutrition. Done Properly.

🌿 Thoughtful Thursday

Progress begins the moment you stop asking...

"What's wrong with my horse?"

..and start asking...

"What is my horse trying to tell me?"

Sometimes the answer lies in nutrition.

Sometimes it's comfort.

Sometimes it's movement.

Sometimes it's the equipment they're wearing.

Sometimes it's something else entirely.

The important part is that we stop looking for a quick fix...

..and start listening.

Because horses are communicating with us every single day.

Our job is to understand what they're saying.

At Absolute Equestrian Collective and Absolute Fundamentals, that's where every decision begins.

Horse first. Everything else follows.

✨ Performance-led. Welfare first.

🌿 Thoughtful Nutrition. Done Properly.
