Hi everyone, hope you're well.

Some sad news for anyone who remembers Susan Hale. She passed away on Wednesday 29th July after a fierce but short battle with cancer.

Rest in Peace Susan. Thoughts are with her loved ones 🕊

A bit late I know, but a beautiful service for Maureen ‘Doddy’ on Friday, a great tribute from the family. Nice to see Donovan, Anne and long legs Linda there.

"As many of you may know, my Mama, Maureen Dodd passed away at 3.15am on Friday 20th February 2026. She fought like the warrior she was with Alan Mcshane and I by her side. She went peacefully and without pain. Mama's final farewell will be on Friday 27th March 2026 at 2.15pm leaving from 16 Rowan Avenue and going to Preston Crematorium. We would like you all to join us afterwards at Greenlands Club, 4 Chatburn Road, Preston, PR2 6BJ to celebrate the life of my amazing Mama. Instead of flowers, we would be very grateful if any donations be made to St Catherine's Hospice www.stcatherines.co.uk due to the absolute amazing care they gave my mama and our family 🙏❤️. Thank you all so much for the love, messages, flowers and cards ❤️"

It is with great sadness to the announce the passing of one of our favourite ladies who worked at thorn lighting for a number of years always laughing Doreen Gilbert lost her battle on the 8/01/24 at st Catherine’s hospice, her funeral is on the 29/01/24 at 1.30 at Preston crematorium if you want to say your final goodbyes to her she will be sadly missed by a lot of people RIP Doreen 😢🙏

Sorry it’s a bit late, but we have learned of the sad passing of Maureen Chadwick. She used to work in the middle section of of the factory(can’t remember the name) and was a supervisor on her section. She certainly said what was on her mind, but also was very friendly with it.

Hey everyone, fun news for a change.
Ann Carrington (Mad Ann) turns 50 soon and is celebrating by starting off in Greyfryers on the 22nd August at 3'0clock, hope to see as many of you there as possible. 🥂
