Day 2 - a more sedate day today, just a quiet trip down the river……..with a few grade 3+ rapids 🤣 we absolutely loved it 🥰 who knows we might even find to@e to squeeze it in again 🤔🤣

Day 1 in Slovenia 🇸🇮 it’s been incredible, surrounded by stunning views, a canyoning trip, & a paddle on the beautiful Soca River in the dark……..in a thunderstorm 🤩 a challenging but fantastic day!

It’s been a brilliant week away, we’ve seen the sights of Prague & Copenhagen, walked a million steps, sampled the pastries and after much stress enjoyed amazing weather…..a bit too amazing some days ☀️🥵🤣 had some fab swims in the harbours refreshing water in Copenhagen the last few mornings, definitely helped restore my legs/feet! Sat at the airport, with time to squeeze in another pastry 🥐😬🫣🤣 & chai latte before our final call…….back in the gym tomorrow……..Who’s in for Monday Night Strength &/or Cycle?!

What an awesome few days 😍 many of you know I have a level of dislike towards the 1st bank holiday weekend in May, it was particularly difficult in 2021 when I spent it sat with my Parpar before he sadly passed away. Since then I’ve tried to keep myself busy over this weekend, filling it with lots of love & laughter - this year was no exception! I travelled up to Cardiff to spend the day volunteering at the Hyrox…..shift started at 0630 on Sunday, finished at 1500, allowing me chance to support some fabulous people at their 1st competition! I left the stadium 12hrs after arriving but my heart was full 😍 it was an incredible day, saw so many people giving everything they had to get around the event as fast as they could……and yes I was a little jealous to not be compeating myself 😂 So much grit & determination, many smiles & a few tears, but so glad to have been a small part in a big day! Absolutely shattered by the time I made it back to Plymouth, now sat at the airport waiting for our flight to Prague, then on to Copenhagen on Thursday…….see you back in the gym next week…….I’m going to need to work off a danish pastry or 10 😬😂

A quick road/rail trip to take in Hyrox London Olympia with 😀 a terrible pre race sleep 🙄 but didn’t stop us smashing over 7 minutes off our December time 🙌🏼 met some amazing people before, during & after 🤩 still on a high, hopefully that takes the edge of the muscle soreness 😬🤣 thanks for being an awesome doubles partner & travelling companion Hayley! Also it should be noted this Hyrox is proof we can definitely count, no matter what some of our clients might say 🤔🤣 so many people apparently can’t and picked up penalties! Can’t help but think with a training readiness score of 1 😅 Cycle tonight might be interesting 🫠
