Let's create a roadmap for crushing fears, igniting change and unleashing your true potential. Learn to live the life you've been dreaming of.

There’s a brutal truth in this message by the Dalai Lama. We can spend so much of life preparing to live that we forget to actually live.
- We chase the next milestone.
- We worry about what might happen.
- We tell ourselves we’ll slow down when the pressure eases, when the money improves, when the business grows, when the children are older, when life finally becomes more manageable.

But life is not waiting somewhere in the future. It is happening now.
- The coffee in the sunshine.
- The conversation you nearly rushed through.
- The walk you didn’t have time for.
- The person sitting opposite you.
- The ordinary Tuesday you may one day wish you could experience again.

Ambition matters. Growth matters. Creating a better future matters. But not at the expense of being absent from the life you are creating it for.

Perhaps Self-Mastery isn’t only about becoming more effective. Perhaps it’s also about becoming more present. Because there is little point mastering your future if you miss your life on the way there.

If the next 12 months looked substantially like the last 12 months, would you be satisfied with that? If the answer is no, don’t just collect more information. Work on the operator. You.

The Inevitable Results Retreat is three days to understand what’s been getting in the way, change how you operate, and build the self-mastery to create different results.

18–20 September 2026. Rutland Hall Hotel & Spa
20 places only. £2026 all-inclusive

ANOTHER MAP WON'T CROSS THE CANYON
Another book may inspire you. Another podcast may teach you. But neither crosses the Canyon for you. At some point, more information must become different action, consistently lived in life. https://www.engagewithsuccess.com/retreat/

YOU DON'T HAVE A KNOWLEDGE PROBLEM.
You already know what you need to do. So why aren’t you doing it consistently? That gap between knowing and doing is the Canyon of Change. It’s time to cross it. https://www.engagewithsuccess.com/retreat/

YOU ALREADY KNOW WHAT TO DO. SO WHY AREN’T YOU DOING IT?

Come on, you probably already know what you need to do. Make the decision. Have the conversation. Delegate. Stop procrastinating. Set the boundary. Raise the price. Look after yourself. Take the action. The interesting question isn't “Do you know what to do?” It's “Why aren't you consistently doing what you already know?”

That space between knowing and actually doing is what I call the Canyon of Change. You can often see the other side. You know what needs to change. You may even know exactly what action you need to take. But knowing where you want to go doesn't automatically get you across the Canyon. And most ambitious people are trying to cross it with the wrong tool. More information. Another book. Another podcast. Another strategy. Another course. More advice. But another map doesn't cross the Canyon.

What if you already have enough pieces? What if the next step isn't collecting another one? What if it's learning how the pieces work together - and understanding the human being who has to actually use them? Because every business strategy has an operator. Every goal has an operator. Every habit has an operator. Every leadership technique has an operator. Every personal-development tool has an operator. You.

That's where Self-Mastery becomes so important. Not controlling yourself. Not controlling life. Not becoming some permanently positive superhuman. It's learning to recognise what is happening within you, regulate your response and become increasingly able to consciously choose how you engage with what happens next. Because crossing the Canyon isn't simply about knowing differently. It's about learning to operate differently when real life happens.

That's the work behind ENGAGE OS. And it's exactly why I created the Inevitable Results 3-Day Retreat. Three immersive days at Rutland Hall from 18-20 September. Then 90 days of implementation afterwards. Because learning something powerful for three days and then returning home to operate exactly as you did before would rather miss the point.

Know what to do. Cross the Canyon. Turn what you know into how you operate.

£2026 all-inclusive. If this post has described you rather too accurately, the full details are in the link: www.engagewithsuccess.com/retreat/

How on earth is my eldest son 28?! One minute he was a little boy. The next, he’s apparently old enough to fly an F-14 and star in his own low-budget sequel to Top Gun. Haha.

I’m not just saying time has flown… but it appears to have gone supersonic. Happy 28th birthday to Solomon. I’m incredibly proud of the man he's become - even if his age is becoming increasingly inconvenient for mine! ✈️❤️

THE MORE YOU KNOW, THE WORSE IT FEELS
Repeated personal development can quietly become evidence against you. Before blaming yourself, consider whether you were ever given the structure, practice and support required to make insight habitual and sustainable. You will not be sent home to do this alone.
