Just back from 5 lovely days in Greece and honestly had the best time.đŹđ·
I came home 2.5kg heavier than when I left, which I was fully expecting after 5 days of eating out, drinking more than I normally would and no gym sessions.
I did still get my steps in and I did make some better choices when I could. Greek yoghurt and fruit, salads etc. But equally, after a couple of drinks when youâre out for dinner, Iâm probably going to chose something a bit greasier đ
And Iâm definitely not saying no to a strawberry daiquiri anyway.
And thatâs completely fine.
The 2.5kg on the scales isnât 2.5kg of fat. There will obviously be some fat gain from eating and drinking more than I normally would, but a lot of that weight will also be water, glycogen, food volume, sodium etc.
So whatâs my plan now?
For the next 4 weeks Iâll go into a deficit to tidy things back up and get myself back around where I was before I went away.
After that, Iâll go into a gaining phase for the rest of the year, before starting a 19 week prep in January for another photoshoot in May.
And I think this is something thatâs really important to remember.
You should be able to go on holiday, enjoy yourself, eat the food, have the drinks, not train for 5 days and come home a bit heavier without feeling like youâve ruined all your progress.
Itâs what you do afterwards that matters.
You get back into your normal routine, carry on with your steps, get your training back in, get your nutrition back on track and keep moving towards the bigger goal.
This is exactly what I do with my clients too. Your plan needs to fit around your life, not the other way around.đ©·

People are often surprised when I tell them I have a coach myself.
After all, Iâm a coach.
Surely I should have everything figured out?
The truth is, thatâs not why I have a coach.
Of course I want to keep learning and improving, but the biggest reasons are accountability, support and perspective.
Because when youâre emotionally invested in a goal, itâs easy to let emotions influence your decisions.
If the scales arenât moving.
If youâve had a stressful week.
If training hasnât gone to plan.
If youâre tired, hungry and frustrated.
Itâs very easy to start questioning everything.
And sometimes itâs not that I donât know what needs to be done.
Itâs that I donât necessarily want to do it.
If my calories need dropped, am I excited about it? Not particularly.
If my cardio needs increased, am I volunteering for it? Definitely not.
Thatâs where having a coach helps.
Sometimes I need someone to tell me what I need to hear, not what I want to hear.
Sometimes I need someone to remind me that one bad week, one bad weigh-in or one off-plan meal doesnât mean Iâve failed.
And sometimes I just need an outside perspective from someone who understands the process and can see the bigger picture when Iâm too close to it.
Theyâre some of the reasons I value having a coach myself.
And funnily enough, theyâre some of the exact same reasons my clients choose to work with me too.
Because sometimes you donât need another meal plan or workout programme.
You just need someone in your corner to keep you on track đ€

You say you want to lose weight.
You want to feel more confident.
You want more energy.
You want to look in the mirror and feel proud of what you see.
But are you willing to do what it takes to get there?
Not perfectly.
Not all at once.
Just consistently.
The workout when you canât be bothered.
The walk when the weatherâs rubbish.
Choosing the option that aligns with your goals more often than not.
Getting back on track after a meal out instead of writing the whole week off.
Because the people who get results arenât the people who never slip up.
Theyâre the people who stop letting one bad meal, one missed workout, or one off-plan weekend turn into giving up altogether.
The results youâre looking at here didnât happen by accident.
They happened because someone decided to keep showing up, even when motivation wasnât there.
So be honest with yourself:
Are you ready to stop waiting for the perfect time and start making progress?
If the answer is yes, drop me a message and letâs chat.

The reason I became a coach isnât because fitness came naturally to me.
Itâs because it didnât.
Iâve experienced the frustration, the setbacks, the failed attempts, and the mental battles that come with trying to lose weight and change your lifestyle.
Thatâs why Iâm so passionate about helping others do it.
When you work with me, youâre not getting someone whoâs only understands nutrition and training.
Youâre getting someone whoâs lived the process.
Someone who knows what youâre going through, what challenges youâre likely to face, and how to navigate them when they show up.
Because they will.
I know how overwhelming it can feel when youâre trying to do it all on your own.
I did that for years.
Thatâs why nobody I coach has to.
If youâre ready to make a change and want someone in your corner to guide and support you along the way, send me a message and letâs chat.
