Today the boys were back in action against a very resilient windmill team. From the first whistle to the last we dictated the the run of play playing excellent football and creating chance after chance. Unfortunately infront of goal it was just not meant to be missing numerous chances including a penalty that was well saved. The pleasing aspect is that we were making the chances and we will convert them going forward. Considering we only had 13 due to the england game including an outfield player going in goal. A nice start to pre-season today and fantastic 21 turnout for our first game against a very good bedworth eagles outfit. Game started off with us moving the ball well and new lads getting new touches. A mistake on our part led to the eagles taking a well taken lead after we got caught in possession. We played some good stuff with the final ball lacking at times but we did get our well deserved equaliser when George Simmons followed up to make the scores level. 2nd half 9 changes were made and another slow start and another error in possession cost us another goal. Credit to the lads they kept going and moving the ball well and deservedly got the equaliser through the energetic James Rooke with a well taken finish. We had a chance to nick it at the end when a free kick hit the crossbar. A draw was a fair result and we wish the eagles all the best this season a great bunch of lads. As for us plenty of positives and stuff to work on but were going in the right direction UTFF. Johnathan Clark Adam Nelmes
