Quick reminder that we have the wooden squash rackets tournament on 18th July at Nottingham Squash Rackets Club

More about the drinking (responsiblyish), raising money for charity and of course
the bbq than improving your Squashlevels, but we have still have spaces, if the weather is like what we are getting right now, we are in for a blinder.

I have to get the t shirt order in by Friday 10th so PLEASE register your interest asap to avoid disappointment

Great camp this weekend just gone, we braved the heat and did some sessions on cross court shots before the obligatory tournament at the end.

We applied the hydration break rule that we are all seeing in the World Cup and thankfully no lives were lost 🤣

Nice initiative being run at the Grove in Newark for those clubs and coaches interested in providing Parkinson’s members and players with a welcoming environment:

Parkinson’s Community Event taking place at Newark Sports and Fitness Centre on Wednesday 8th July.

The event includes dedicated training sessions for clubs, coaches, and community group, designed to help you better support individuals living with Parkinson’s and create more inclusive activity offers.

This is a great opportunity to build your knowledge, connect with others, and enhance the inclusivity of your sessions.

Polite reminder of this monumental, not at all serious, charity event coming up.
In the spirit of getting you and your teams warmed up to the idea, the NSRC chairman, James Dand has agreed to set the tone by pre-sharing his 80s kit pics.
The intention is to entice you to join the party and not to scare you away 😉
Beer and bbq will be order of the day. Wooden racket playing is kind of secondary.
Results will NOT be going on squash levels 🤣🤣

Seems I forgot to write up the recent NASA camp we had on 26th April. These camps are designed to attract juniors of all abilities and I was delighted again with the turnout and where people had come from.

We focused on volleys, serves and returns and I was delighted that by the end in the youngest group some of the players were hitting services from their hands for the first time.
