⚽ This week’s 7-Minute Safeguarding Briefings

Our weekly briefings provide simple, practical safeguarding messages that can be shared and discussed across your club in just seven minutes.

This week’s briefings are:

👧 **Children’s Briefing – Gaming Safely**
Helping children understand how to stay safe when gaming online, recognise concerning behaviour and know who to speak to if something doesn’t feel right.

👥 **Adult Briefing – Child Sexual Exploitation: Prevention and Protection**
Helping adults recognise potential signs of child sexual exploitation and understand how to record and report concerns appropriately.

Please share these resources with your players, parents, coaches and volunteers to help keep safeguarding at the heart of football across Nottinghamshire.

We’d also love to hear whether you found the briefings useful and which safeguarding topics you’d like us to cover in future.

Help shape the future of football in Nottinghamshire ⚽

Nottinghamshire FA is recruiting three voluntary Non-Executive Directors to join our Board:

• Non-Executive Director – HR (People & Culture)
• Non-Executive Director – Commercial & Partnerships
• Non-Executive Director – Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI)

These are strategic and active leadership roles for individuals who want to contribute their experience, insight and ideas to the future of grassroots football across Nottinghamshire.

Previous Non-Executive experience is welcome but not essential, and football or sport experience is not a requirement.

The commitment is approximately two days per month, including quarterly Board meetings, Committee responsibilities, preparation, stakeholder engagement and occasional events.

All roles are voluntary, with reasonable expenses reimbursed in line with Nottinghamshire FA policy.

Be part of what comes next ⚽

Nottinghamshire FA is recruiting two ambassadors to help clubs create more inclusive opportunities across the county:

• Equal Game Ambassador – Women and Girls Football
• Disability Football Ambassador

Both roles will work directly with grassroots football clubs, helping them turn training and ideas into practical opportunities for more people to play, coach, volunteer and belong.

💷 £25 per hour
⏰ 50-hour casual contract
📍 Travel across Nottinghamshire
🌙 The majority of hours will take place during evenings and weekends
📅 Closing date: 5pm on Tuesday 1 September 2026

Applicants do not need to have previously worked for a County FA. We welcome experience gained through grassroots football, coaching, playing, volunteering, club or league committee roles, community organisations, sports development, professional experience or lived experience.

Applicants may apply for either role. Those wishing to apply for both must submit a separate application form for each opportunity.
