Mundesley Haig Bowls Club

Tonight was the final of our internal club competition, it's been really enjoyable all season culminating in a great final between Tom and Wayne against Dave and Robin. Tom and Wayne came out on top 19-9. Some great bowls played and well supported by other club members.

Played away at Cawston today and had good result, winning 6-2. Very good company and lovely green. Weather turned out well in end. Well done to all who played today. Just one more game to play in Nansa League.

Last NNAL game yesterday at home to Stalham. Lovely sunny day, not too hot. Close until near the end we lost 46 - 60 . Very good company. Well done to all.

Cawston were our visitors last night, decent team they have won the NANSA evening league at a canter. We lost 6-2 on the night but put up a good performance. Well done to Tom, Dave and Rex who won on their rink after a closely fought game. Well done Cawston and see you next season.

Lovely evening tonight, we played Barton Turf in a friendly. We won over all but really that's irrelevant. Just enjoyable from start to finish, lots of laughter all night with both sides getting on so well. This is what bowls should be like. Brilliant from both teams.

Today’s game at Smallburgh was in the end very close but we lost 52-41, although at one time we were well down. Everyone played well and we closed the gap. Unfortunately a lot of wicks took their toll. Well done to all.

What a game last night at Potter Heigham, literally going to the last bowl of the last game, one point behind as it stood as Leon had the final bowl in his hand. The perfect bowl knocked their bowl out and won us the game by two shots. With that one bowl a 5-4 defeat turned into a 7-2 win. Bowls can be very exciting 😱

Great win today against Southrepps at home 8-0. Lovely weather and good company. All the team played very well and with two games to go we have surpassed last year’s points total. Well done to everyone.

Second leg of the cup tonight away against Cromer Marrams, to be honest I have conveniently forgotten the exact score but I think the phrase "suffered a mauling" was probably invented for tonight 🤔😬. The green was really good, Cromer were just brilliant and we couldn't compete. Everyone stuck at it all night and did everything they could. Best team won and good luck in the final.

Game against Cawston today didn’t go well. We were well beaten 8-0, but friendly company.
