Some whopping numbers on here which are pretty embarrassing for me to post but it is what it is.
Project 45 is about being open and honest and showing you what it takes on a journey like this.
Progress is slow but this isn’t a marathon it’s a sprint.
As I’ve told you many times before it’s about consistency over perfection, one day at a time, one week at time.
The journey continues.

Why dieting can feel easier in summer ☀️
For a lot of people, summer gives you a few advantages:
* You naturally move more — walks, days out, longer evenings.
* Lighter meals often feel more appealing.
* Hot weather can reduce the desire for heavy comfort food.
* More daylight can make it easier to stay active after work.
* Social plans can still fit — you just need to manage them sensibly.
The downside?
BBQs, alcohol, holidays, ice creams and weekends away can easily wipe out the extra activity if you’re not paying attention.
So summer isn’t “magic” for fat loss.
It just gives you a better environment to build good habits — if you use it well.
That’s exactly what I’m trying to do with Project 45:
more walking, better food choices, structured training, and no need for extremes.
You don’t need a perfect diet. You need a routine you can repeat.

PROJECT 45 | Day 1
Today I stopped waiting for the “perfect time.”
I’m 45.
I’m a dad to a toddler who still doesn’t always sleep through the night.
Over the last year I’ve gained weight, lost strength and haven’t trained consistently.
So today I’m drawing a line in the sand.
Over the next year I’ll be documenting my journey back to my best as I prepare for another Deadly Dozen.
No shortcuts.
No perfect conditions.
Just three quality training sessions a week and consistent effort.
Let’s see what’s possible.
