FROM NORTHAMPTON TO THE WORLD STAGE

From Northampton to the World stage.

A huge well done to our 3 boys who stepped up to compete at the WAKO Hungarian World Cup 2026 this weekend.

This was the first International tournament for Dario, Hayden & Ryan.

Despite not getting the results they set out for, they all fought really well and did their club and ECKA proud.

Ryan looked sharp in his Points Fighting and listened adapted, however his opponent unfortunately took the win from him in the quarter finals.

Dario unfortunately took a loss in his Points Fighting division.
However he fought a strong fight in his Light Continuous division dominating the first half only for his opponent to take back possession following a few unfortunate area warnings.
This was the best Dario has fought, and all played out in his biggest tournament to date.
Sadly Dario lost his quarter finals to the division finalist.

Hayden stepped up to fight in the ring for his first official full contact bout. He did well for his first time against an opponent with 10 fights more experience and 2kg on Hayden.
Unfortunately it wasn’t Hayden’s fight, leaving Hayden to pick up a Bronze.

The tournament has been an amazing experience and opportunity, filled with firsts, however producing good memories and lessons.
