Great first game against Corby.
Despite not having our full squad available due to injuries, the girls stepped up and every single one delivered.
We played some outstanding football with excellent movement all over the pitch — real team cohesion from start to finish.

Magpies today, whether you scored, assisted, defended, or kept the ball moving, you all played your part.
Top defending, smart distribution, and brilliant teamwork across the whole squad.

Goals from: Schmitz, Majewska, Doyle, Sinnamon and Brown ⚽️🔥

Coaches Player of the Match: Dolan — playing out of position and still producing a superb all‑round performance. 💪👏

GK Litwinko: distribution today was outstanding and has set the bar — exciting signs for the season ahead. 🧤⚽️

A strong start, loads of positives, and momentum already building.

On to the next one …

Our U13 Magpies are ready to step into this new season.
We have said goodbye to some players who’ve been part of our story, and we’ve welcomed new faces who’ve already brought fresh energy and new strengths.

Through the holidays, these girls have kept going playing friendlies and continuing training sessions.

A new challenge awaits. New tests. More moments to rise for the girls.
Looking forward to the the weekend💥

What a fantastic day at the Newport Pagnell Tournament.

The girls showed real quality throughout, playing some great football, moving the ball brilliantly and dominating large parts of their games. Goals were hard to come by, but every match was tight, competitive and full of effort.

Magpies finished 4th in the group, earning a place in the semi‑final against 1st‑place Woburn & Wavendon Lionesses.

What a tense battle that was. Both teams fought for every ball, and when a penalty was awarded against us- early on in the game, our outstanding goalkeeper Wadsworth pulled off a huge save which kept us in!

The game went to a penalty shootout, and despite giving absolutely everything, we were edged out 3–2. Heartbreaking, but the girls left nothing behind.

So proud of every single player today — their attitude, teamwork and determination was incredible.

Tournament Day @ Kingsthorpe Jets

A huge well done to the Magpies today — the team put in a brilliant shift from start to finish.
There were some tough sides in the mix, but we rose to the challenge, worked hard, and showed real determination throughout the day.

We finished the group stage with 2 wins, 4 draws, and just 1 narrow loss against Coventry 👏🏻👏🏻.
That set us up for a well‑earned place in the semi‑final, where we faced Coventry but unfortunately it didn’t go our way.

A huge well done to the cup winners today Nene Valley 👌

Tournaments can come down to the smallest margins — sometimes you win them, sometimes you don’t — but the most important thing is that the players enjoyed a full day of football and gave everything for the team.

A massive thank‑you to all parents and supporters for cheering the team on. Your backing makes a huge difference.

Presentation day for the Magpies.
Time to reflect, enjoy and celebrate the amazing season we had.

We set up big goals for us this season, some might say we failed short, some might say we aimed to big, we would love to say that the girls done exceptionally well in what turned up to be a difficult season.

Playing one third of the season in three weeks out of 22 games since September meant that for large periods of time we had no games, hard to keep it going, hard to keep any momentum or even motivation.

Winning the league with no defeats is a high achievement, this comes on the back of the last two seasons with only winning our league games even though it was not competitive.

Cup games has been our handicap, something to work on, nevertheless achieving two cup finals in three years is a very good reason to celebrate.

Today we lifted the league cup, and awarded individual awards.
Everyone was a winner, in a team sport, all players are very important in any individual award, no one wins alone.
Key moments of our season:

Reaching a cup final
Holland tour
League winner 🥇

Individual awards:

Top goal scorer
Schmitz

Players player
Furtado

Parents player
Furtado

Most improved player
O’Sullivan

Managers player
Furtado

Despite our defeat, the girls walked off to huge applause — a reflection of their progress, their character and the pride they’ve brought to the club..

A JOURNEY BUILT ON BELIEF

Four years ago, the idea of a Moulton Magpies U12 Girls team was just a dream. A small group of enthusiastic girls turned up every Sunday morning, eager to play but without a team to join. Early setbacks delayed their start, but their passion never faded.

As the 2023/24 season approached, all they needed was a coach — and they got three. A dedicated dad stepped forward, soon joined by an uncle and another parent. Together, they built a team that grew stronger every week, playing with heart, discipline and belief.

Their hard work paid off:
League Champions and now Cup Finalists.
A remarkable achievement for a team only just beginning its story.

A SEASON TO REMEMBER

The final result may not have gone our way, but the Magpies’ season has been nothing short of exceptional.

League champions, cup finalists, and a team that has grown in confidence, skill and togetherness every single week.

BIG APPLAUSE TO SYL 🩵

16/05/2026

League cup final today.
Played SYL, a strong opponent with so many great players.
The girls wanted to add the cup to our league win, but it just wasn’t meant to be.
We started well, controlling the game but no clear chances for either side.
An unusual mistake from our side gave SYL the lead, then we were up against it.
We fought hard to get back in the game, but very unsuccessful.
Second half we changed our formation after 10 minutes, we hit the post, but soon after, SYL increased the lead with a deflection shot that hit the back of the net.
The team never found any way back, and a superb free kick sealed the win to SYL.
3-0 defeat was a heavy score line, but SYL were the worthy winner today, they showed more resilience, more believe than us today.
This does not take away the excellent season our girls had, with one more league game left, we won the league, and can finish the league unbeaten for the third season in a row.
Parents and coaches are very proud of the journey the girls had so far, and today will be a massive learning in their journey.
Very well done to both teams for the great game, very well done to the Magpies for the exceptional season so far 👏👏👏👏
