Ards Rangers FC Women

It was great to see some of our Juniors step up this year for their first year in senior football in the Northern Ireland Women's Football Association and hold their own.

When the girls section within our juniors was set up, the plan was to create a pathway for the girls to move into senior football, and to see it come into fruition for those eligible this season was very pleasing.

We look forward to seeing the girls progress and others make that step next season

After last night's game we also presented 2s captain Morgan Liddell with some flowers and wished her well for her wedding next week

We held a minutes silence last night before our game with Hanover Ladies, to remember the Nanny of our 2s manager Vicky McAvoy

Although the result didn't go our way, it rounded off the season for the 2s, big thanks to all the girls who represented the 2s this season.

Honours even for the 1s against St Mary's last night at V36 in a competitive game

Unfortunately an ankle injury to captain Becky Kirk in the last 10 mins will rule her out for the remainder of the season, wishing her and Leanna McGimpsey-Young who also suffered a knee injury in last week's game quick recoveries.
