Our branch of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Eireann was founded in September 2011and is based in Crossmaglen Cathal Bui was a very popular balladeer/poet of his day.
The name 'An Bonnán Buí' comes from a very famous Irish poem of the same name written by the Irish poet Cathal Mac Giolla Gunna, described by many as one of the four most prominent of the south Ulster and north Leinster poets. It’s a truly beautiful traditional Irish song dating from the early 18th century.
