Our Bs made the most of their day too hiking 11km and with a 667m ascent. Their hike took in Pigeon Rock mountain walking along its ridge towards Slievemageogh and descending down to the windy gap path before ascending up to windy gap. Then up Slievemoughanmore, up and along past Pigeon Rock as the group returned to carpark. And for some onwards to meet with our other groups for some apres walk refreshments at Betty Doran’s.
A good day out

Great views for our A group too today, as they covered a lot of ground in their hike.
Today’s mountains were Pigeon, C**k, Slievenamiskan, Slievenamuck, Slieveloughshannagh, Doan, Carn, & Muck. 😅

Final club walks today before our festival (11-13 September) & we were lucky once more with our weather. Not one raindrop today.
Our B+ group today took on Slieve Muck , over to Slieve Loughshannagh and up Doan. Then they headed across and up the face of Meelbeg, back over Slieve Loughshannagh, onto Carn, back up and down Muck and then to the carpark 😅13.5km and over 1000m height gain. Thanks to Daniel for leading with input from Gerry and Brian.
