The Reserves went up as champions, and they've picked up where they left off. Saturday afternoon, sun out (with any luck), bar open, so grab a pint and find your spot.

It's the first of three games at Mount Wise this weekend, with the Vets and Ladies both at home on Sunday.

Saturday's 2nds are champions for a reason, and they've started this season like they mean it. Sunday is a big one. The Vets have never played a quiet game in their lives, and the Ladies against Ludgvan has goals written all over it. A pint in the sun, two games back to back, bar open all day. Hard to beat.

Bring the family, bring the neighbours, bring anyone who's never been. Season ticket holders are always in for all three.

Nigel Bennett wouldn't call himself a football man. Now his company's name is on the front of our shirt.

The two men behind MEP took very different roads to Newquay. Nigel followed his wife down from the Midlands sixteen years ago. Steve Hallam grew up in Rotherham and spent his childhood holidays on our beaches, with his dad bringing him up to Mount Wise as a boy. When their old employer went into liquidation, the pair started again from nothing, and four years later, their badge sits on the shirt we will be wearing as we compete to go higher than we have ever been.

This is the story of who they are, why they walked away from nobody, and why sponsoring this club was never about the money.
