💙⚽️ Congratulations, Ella! ⚽️💙

A special evening for our own Ella as she officially signed for Durham Women’s Academy U12s! ✍️👏

Ella will be competing in the RFYL boys league on Saturdays, an exciting opportunity to challenge herself and continue her development.

Everyone at NCJ Inter Girls is proud of you, Ella, and we’re delighted to have you continuing with us on Sundays! 🖤🤍

Enjoy every moment of this next chapter! 💙

🖤🤍 Unlucky today, girls! 🖤🤍

Another really positive performance from our Inter Girls today. We played some brilliant football out from the back, showing loads of confidence on the ball and battling hard throughout. 👏🏼⚽️

We changed formation at half-time and having two in midfield gave us much more control of the game.

⚽️ Ellie-Mae got herself on the scoresheet after a great assist from Ella 👏🏼 We also had another goal ruled out for offside which looked very close! 😬

The girls deserved more from the game today, but there’s loads to be pleased with in the way they played. Very unlucky, but another step forward! 💪🏼

🏆 Opposition Player – Elsie
🏆 Parents’ Player – Fran
🏆 Coaches’ Player – Elise

Well done girls — keep playing football like that and the results will come! 🖤🤍⚽️

🏆🖤🤍 THROUGH TO THE NEXT ROUND! 🖤🤍🏆

Our Inter Girls faced a very good Morpeth side today in the U12 Challenge Cup, and what a performance from the girls! 👏🏼

We started brilliantly, trying a different formation and creating chance after chance. The girls passed and moved the ball tremendously and were unlucky not to go in ahead at half-time.

HT 0–0

Second half we kept pushing and absolutely peppered their goal mouth before Ellie-Mae finally got the breakthrough! ⚽️💪🏼

With no substitutes available, tired legs eventually started to show and Morpeth grabbed a late equaliser.

FT 1–1… PENALTIES! 😬

Amber & Ellie-Mae scoring their Pens

JOB DONE! 🙌🏼🏆

🏆 Opposition Player — Imogen
🏆 Parents’ Player — Elspeth
🏆 Coaches’ Players — Amber & Aurora

An unbelievable shift from every single girl today. No subs, plenty of tired legs, but they kept going right until the end and got their reward!

Into the next round we go! 🖤🤍🏆⚽️

🖤🤍 COUNTY CUP VICTORY! 🏆⚽️

Our U11 Inter Girls are through to the next round of the Boys’ U12 County Cup after a brilliant win against Morpeth Town boys today! 💪🏼

We chose to play with the wind in the first half and created bags of chances, but it took an absolute screamer from Xanthe to put us 1-0 up at the break! 🚀

Second half, we had the wind against us, but the girls kept battling and playing some great football. Ellie-Mae then used her strength brilliantly to power her way through and grab herself two goals! ⚽️⚽️

We conceded late on from a long ball in behind, but overall a cracking performance from the girls and a well-deserved win! 👏🏼

The girls have also asked if we can introduce Parents’ Player and Coaches’ Player awards alongside our usual Opposition Player of the Match, so we’ll be doing all three moving forward! 🏆

🏆 Opposition Player: Ella
🏆 Parents’ Player: Fran
🏆 Coaches’ Player: Ellie-Mae

Massive well done to all three and every single girl who put a shift in today!

Into the next round we go! 🖤🤍💪🏼

🖤🤍 Tough one today, but proud of the girls! 🖤🤍

Up against last season’s champions today and with no subs available due to our growing injury list:

🦴 Tilly
🦴 Sadie
🤕 Sophie
🤕 Esmae

All I asked was that the girls gave me 100%, and they did exactly that. The scoreline was a tough one, but they worked their socks off against a bigger, older side and still came off the pitch smiling! 💪🏼⚽️

🏆 Opposition POTM – Emily
Another brilliant performance from her today 👏🏼

Special mention to Elspeth on her debut too, battled for everything and put in a cracking performance on her first outing for us! 👏🏼

Sometimes you just have to take it on the chin and move on. Proud of the effort, girls! 🖤🤍

🖤🤍 Away day in the Scottish Borders for our Inter Girls! 🖤🤍

Really proud of the girls today. We battled, competed and played some great football against Berwick. We possibly should’ve had a penalty in the first half, but went into the break 0-0.

We unfortunately lost Tilly to injury early in the first half after a strong tackle, but the girls kept pushing and it was still goalless with just 8 minutes to play.

A goal from a corner followed by three quick-fire goals from long range and free kicks made it 4-0, but that scoreline definitely doesn’t reflect the game or how hard the girls worked today.

🏆 Opposition POTM – Emily 🧤
Some brilliant saves again today along with quality distribution from the back 👏🏼

Loads of positives to take and a few learning points to take into training. Proud of you girls! 🖤🤍💪🏼

🖤🤍 What a couple of performances from our Inter Girls! 🖤🤍

The girls have been class across our two midweek fixtures, moving the ball brilliantly, playing with confidence and showing just how versatile this squad is becoming! 👏🏼⚽️

⚽ Goals: Elsie ×4, Amber, Xanthe & Sophie
🏆 Opposition POTM: Ella & Emily

Some of the best football we’ve played in a long time. Just class, girls! 👏🏼🖤🤍

Rest up and be ready for 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 💪🏼

🖤🤍 FIRST GAME IN THE BOYS DIVISION! 🖤🤍

First one done playing a year up against the boys! ⚽️💪🏼

The difference in size and physicality was clear to see, but the girls weren’t phased one bit. They battled, competed for every ball and gave as good as they got from start to finish 👏🏼

A worldie strike from outside the box gave the opposition the lead, but there were loads of positives to take from our first competitive game.

And the weather… absolutely lashing down! 🌧️😂 Soaked to the skin, but the girls just got on with it!

🏆 Special mention to Emily, who was awarded the opposition’s Player of the Match on her competitive debut for City Juniors! 🧤👏🏼 What a way to start!

Proud of the girls again today - plenty more to come from this group 🖤🤍⚽️

🖤🤍 OPEN DAY VICTORY! 🖤🤍

Our U12 Inter Girls kicked off their season at Benwell today, playing a year up and what a start! 🙌🏼⚽️

We went into half-time 1–0 up and probably didn’t want the whistle to come with the momentum we had! The opposition came out strong after the break and scored twice in quick succession to turn the game around.

But the girls didn’t let their heads drop. They kept playing our football, worked their socks off and showed brilliant determination to fight back and get the win 💪🏼

⚽️ Goals from Xanthe, Tilly, Emily & Sadie

🏆 Special mention to Elsie, who was awarded the opposition’s Player of the Match. She read the game brilliantly and seemed to intercept absolutely everything today! 👏🏼

Playing a year up, the physical difference was clear, but the girls battled for every ball and never backed down.

What a way to start the season! So proud of this group 🖤🤍
