This little bundle of joy has his first dog show tomorrow. I’m excited to be getting into the show ring with him.

He couldn’t care less because he loves doing just about anything and I always go home with the best dogs on the day. ❤️

What a great idea. Anyone in?

This has taken a while. A long while.
All my dogs have helped with the laundry and retrieve-to-hand is the basis of so many things I do with my dogs, from competition to film work.

Getting to know your puppy is so important when it comes to training. Our retrieve-to-hand has been built on a strong foundation of trust (Frisbee, like a lot of terriers, doesn’t like to share). Learning what is really reinforcing to him (tug and winning the toy) and finally, time, practice and lots of short lessons in various different contexts.

And about three weeks ago, it clicked. It’s not perfect but we’re getting there.

Sight seeing. More swimming. Making friends. Smug rolling after shaking on a French man. Peeing in the city so much it risks dehydration. JB & FB say this is the best holiday ever.

Today was all about relaxing, eating, swimming, reading and making new friends with the neighbourhood’s cheeky kitty.

Up early to beat the heat. A walk close to (our old) home to see the Lady Eiffel. Making new posh friends. Breakfast outdoors then another long train ride south.
