⚽️☀️ BACK TO FESTIVALS! ☀️⚽️
After a wellearned summer break, our Montrose Youth FC 2019s were back in action today as we returned to the Angus Alive Small Sided Festivals, with this week’s festival taking place in Monifieth! 💙
We entered 4 teams, with each team playing four 12-minute matches against other youth sides from across Angus. It was fantastic to see the players back out on the pitch, enjoying their football and putting everything they’ve been working on over the summer into practice. 👏⚽️
There was some brilliant teamwork, excellent individual performances, plenty of development and, most importantly, lots of enjoyment throughout the morning. 🙌
A great way to get our festival season back underway, and we couldn’t be prouder of how our young players represented Montrose Youth FC! 💙
A huge well done to all the players, and thank you to the coaches, parents and everyone who continues to support our 2019s. 👏

⚽🏴 Scotland Day at the Angus Alive Small Sided Festivals! 🏴⚽
Our Montrose YFC 2019s had a fantastic morning at today's Angus Alive Small Sided Festival in Forfar, joining clubs from across the region to celebrate Scotland's return to the World Cup stage!
With players, coaches and families proudly wearing their Scotland colours and football kits, the festival was packed with great football, World Cup themed fun, music and plenty of smiles. It was a brilliant opportunity for our young players to enjoy the game, make memories and be part of a special occasion as we all get behind the national team.
A huge thank you to Angus Alive for organising another excellent festival and creating such a positive atmosphere for everyone involved.
From everyone at MYFC 2019s, we would like to wish the Scotland National Team the very best of luck as they take on Haiti in the early hours of tomorrow morning. We'll be cheering you on all the way! 💙⚽

A fantastic day of football saw almost 280 young players from the 2018, 2019 and 2020 age groups take part, with 25 of our own 2019s representing the club brilliantly throughout the day. 💙
The players enjoyed plenty of game time, showed great effort and enthusiasm, and most importantly had lots of fun playing against teams from across Angus. It was wonderful to see so many young footballers developing their skills and enjoying the game in a positive environment. 👏⚽️

⚽ A great experience for our 2019s!
Back in April, the team were invited along by Montrose Community Trust to be part of a special showcase event at Links during a visit from First Minister John Swinney.
The players enjoyed a great training session with MCT coaches and even had the chance to meet the First Minister, who took time to chat with them about football and Scotland at this year’s World Cup.
A big thank you to MCT for the opportunity 👏

⚽️ Mini Festival at Kenny Park ⚽️
Today we were delighted to host Monifieth 2019s at Kenny Park for a friendly mini festival.
The team have been working hard over the winter months since the small-sided festivals finished back in October, so it was fantastic to get back into a more structured festival format against another club ahead of the Angus Alive Festivalkicking off again in March.
A big thank you to Monifieth for making the trip through to Montrose - it was a pleasure to host you. All the players played the game the right way, and it was great to see such a friendly and enjoyable atmosphere throughout the morning. 👏⚽️
We’d also like to say a huge thank you to the parents who helped run the tea stall and to everyone who kindly donated home baking. Your support is always greatly appreciated and makes days like this possible.
Well done everyone! 💙
