THE NEW SEASON IS ALMOST HERE! 🔴⚫

We’re really looking forward to getting the new season underway with North Ormesby U11’s! ⚽️

The boys have put in some serious hard work throughout pre-season, working hard in training, building their fitness and getting themselves prepared for the challenges ahead. 💪🔥

Our first fixture sees us away from home, and the boys will be looking to start the season strongly and hopefully get off to a winning start! 🏆

We know it won’t be easy, but the hard work, commitment and togetherness shown during pre-season has given us plenty to be excited about.

Now it’s time to put the work into action. 👊

A solid workout for the lads today as we played out a draw against a well-organised Kader FC side.

They were tough to break down, but there were plenty of positives to take from the game. We played some great football, moved the ball well, and showed some excellent link-up play throughout.

Most importantly, it was another valuable 60 minutes in the legs, and we’re really pleased with the fitness levels and effort from every player. The hard work in training is starting to show, and we’re continuing to build in the right direction.

Plenty to work on, plenty to be proud of. On to the next one! 💪⚽️

🌟 A Huge Achievement for Elliott Douglas! 🌟

Despite only being in Year 5, Elliott stepped up and played football for the Year 6 school team. To then be voted Players’ Player of the Year by the Year 6 lads themselves is an unbelievable achievement and a true reflection of the respect he’s earned from his teammates.

Even more impressive, we’re told this is the first time ever that a Year 5 pupil has won the award.

This recognition says everything about Elliott’s ability, attitude, work ethic and the way he conducts himself on and off the pitch. To earn the respect of older players in this way is something very special.

He showed a fantastic attitude throughout the session, working hard during the fitness drills and giving 100% from start to finish. He also showed great teamwork by helping his teammates during the passing drills, encouraging others and setting a brilliant example.

This week we came across a lovely Facebook post about one of our players, Elijah, who, along with two friends, stopped what they were doing to play football with a young lad they met at Pallister Park.

Without being asked, they invited him to join in, showed kindness, respect and good manners, and made his day. It’s moments like these that remind us that football is about so much more than what happens on the pitch.

At Doggy Boys, we always encourage our players to be respectful, caring and humble, and Elijah has shown exactly what our club is all about. He is a wonderful young lad with a kind heart, and we’re incredibly proud to have him representing our team.

Well done, Elijah. You are a credit to your family, your teammates, and our club. Keep being the amazing young man you are. 👏⚽
