Today we lined up against a team 3 leagues higher to give us a real test to see what we needed to work on in the next week and coming season. The opposition showed their level coming out early with their press and our lads struggled to adjust. As the game grew on we got better and better and in spells were a real danger to Billingham. Overall they were much the better team but our lads battled all game kept their heads up and understood that it was not a game to win but more a game of learning and also seeing what they succeeded with. Evans was electric as always and was a handful for them scoring himself a hat trick all by his own hard work well done Evans 👏🏆

Hot one today for the lads but another great pre season display and test. Redcar have come on a lot recently and have some troubling players and on a whole bar a corner goal the lads dealt with them really well. Their keeper was outstanding and prevented a ton of chances but creating them that easily is a great positive to take. Isaac was like our 4th defender today always an option for the defence and his passing was superb earning him man of the match 👏🏆

Today we welcomed a very good boro rangers girls team to the dock and to be honest first half they looked much the better team. Against the run of play we took the lead early with Evans but deservedly got pegged back right after. This meant after a slow first half we went into the half 1 goal a piece. Second half we knew we had to improve and we knew the battle we had coming up. A few tweaks to the lineup to combat the girls worked brilliantly. A fire was ignited within the lads and we scored 5 in the second half before the girls pegged one back ending the game 6-2. The whole team second half played brilliantly however after some feedback at half time Mark listened brilliantly getting himself more in the game and winning his midfield battles and deserved man of the match 🙌🏆

What a great day of football from all participants and a really well contested day. Our lads ended up topping our group playing some great football but the group stage definitely built us together for the next stage. The semi final we were relentless from the off winning 3-0 with the lads on fire bringing momentum to the Derby final. To say I’m speechless about how well these boys played in the final would be an understatement as we knew it was a hard game. However they were at it from the get go turning out 5-1 winners in the end with some goal of the season contenders already before it has started well done boys so proud 🏆👏

Player of the tournament really could have went to any of them today they did that well but one particular player stood out. That was David he was relentless and an absolute nightmare for every defence he played and deserves player of the tournament 🏆
