Merthyr RFC under 9s 2026/27

Some of our u9s had a fantastic morning on the Wern yesterday. They joined the Cardiff Blues in an open training session 💛 💚 well done boys!

A fantastic last session for our @merthyr_rfc_u8 squad before we head off on Tour this weekend. Big hand ✋🏼 to the parents for stepping up and taking on the challenge. The players loved having M**s and Dads there to compete with. Can see where they get their skills from now 😉 Another memorable session, finished off with a super soaker battle and sausage & chips (+ a cheeky 🍺 for coaches and parents alike). CaeFest 2026

We travelled down to Llanharan RFC this morning ☀️
Players were, once again, brilliant today. Really finishing the season off in style.

We seem to have added to our passing game by running hard and providing great support lines.

Additionally, it was the most 6-tag turnovers I’d seen us do…epic!!

The coaches award was given to everyone today for playing superb. This really shows how well they all did as a team and learning that it isn’t always about the individuals either. 💪💪💪

A very cold and wet game yesterday at Talywain RFC. Merthyr u8s played well, resulting in complements from the coaches on their excellent passing skills. Well done to all the players 👏
