Notts United Sambas hosted Holbrook at home in a very hard-fought and competitive game.

The Sambas started the brighter of the two teams, with early chances falling to Loxley and Cody, but neither could find the back of the net. At the other end, Teddy was called into action and made some important saves to keep the scores level during the first half.

The deadlock was finally broken when Captain Harrison’s cross/shot caught the Holbrook goalkeeper out of position, finding its way into the net to give the home team a deserved 1-0 lead.

At the back, Jacob and Bobby were fully focused, winning their one-on-one duels and helping to keep Holbrook at bay.

Holbrook came out strongly in the second half, pushing hard for an equaliser. However, they could not find a way past the in-form Teddy, who made save after save to protect the Sambas’ lead.

Late in the second half, Teddy produced a stunning double save to keep Holbrook out and help secure the victory.

The final whistle confirmed a brilliant 1-0 win for Notts United Sambas in a tough and competitive match.

Match Report

Sherwood Colliery 1–3 Notts United Sambas

Notts United Sambas produced a determined and hard-working display to earn an impressive 3-1 victory over a very strong Sherwood Colliery side in a fiercely competitive encounter.

The game started at a high tempo, with both teams battling for every ball. Sherwood Colliery struck first to take a 1-0 lead, but the Sambas remained calm, stuck to their game plan, and showed great character to fight their way back.

The equaliser came through Loxley, the Fox in the Box, who was perfectly placed to finish after some outstanding build-up play from Hugo “Pitbull”, whose strength and determination created the opportunity.

With confidence growing, the Sambas took the lead when Oliver finished superbly with a composed strike to make it 2-1.

Sherwood continued to press, but the Sambas defended brilliantly as a team, refusing to give anything away. The victory was sealed when Jacob found the net with a well-taken goal to make it 3-1 and put the result beyond doubt.

Every single player put in a tremendous shift, working their socks off from the first whistle to the last. It was a fantastic team performance full of effort, commitment, and quality football against a very good Sherwood Colliery side.
