SD SUMMER TOURNMENT - CHAMPIONS 🏆

Summer sun is here and our U11’s kicked off their summer of tournaments in fantastic fashion as they picked up one more piece of silverware to add to 3 they won since January including tournaments at Easter, May and end of year finals 🤩

After a blistering start in the group stages, in which they recorded 3 wins from 3 without conceding a goal, they progressed in the the Champions League 🏆

Their unbeaten didn’t end there though, they progressed all the way to the final in which they were finally crowned CHAMPIONS 🥳🏆

⭐️ACADEMY EXPERIENCE - BURNLEY FC⭐️

Shout out to our U8 teams who had the pleasure of attending the training ground of Burnley FC over this past weekend 🤩🏟️

It was an outstanding opportunity and test for the teams who each battled exceptionally well in a grassroots festival!

Both teams progressed to the latter stages of the tournament which was filled with nothing but exceptional teams from around the North West!! 🔥

Huge WELL DONE to everyone involved in what was a brilliant afternoon of football! ✨

AIRBUS - CHAMPIONS 🏆

Most recently our U11 Girls (Season 26/27) headed out, on the hunt for more silverware to add to the cabinet after a very successful run of tournaments!

This time it was on the road to Chester to compete in the Airbus Cup 🏆

After a 7 game group stage in which the girls went unbeaten, it was into the knock out stages!! And their form didn’t slow down there! The girls grew from strength to strength progressing through each round and their dominance seen them come out as CHAMPIONS 🥳🏆

ESMÉ SIGNS FOR MANCHESTER CITY ✍️

We are incredibly proud to announce that Esmé signed for Manchester City at the end of Season 25/26!

Esmé’s presence on a football pitch is absolutely huge.

A modern ball-playing defender, Esmé possesses outstanding technical ability and is often the player who starts attacks for her team. She’s incredibly comfortable on the ball, happy to receive under pressure and always seems to have that extra second that others don’t.

What really sets Esmé apart though is her understanding of the game. Her ability to read situations, anticipate danger and make the right decisions consistently is something that stands out every time she plays.

Esmé has been part of our programme since she was just 5 years old, starting out at our first programme on offer ‘Little Legs’ with ! Since joining our Girls pathway, she has been a hugely important member of our U11 Girls squad and has played a massive role in the group’s success over the years.

While we’re absolutely delighted to see Esmé earn this opportunity with Manchester City, we’re also sad to see her leave our Club, as she has decided to focus on one game per day and won’t be continuing with us during the 26/27 season.

A huge thank you must also go to our good friends at . They continue to provide so many of our girls with opportunities to test themselves against some of the best ETCs and academies in the country, and we genuinely can’t recommend them highly enough.

RONNIE SIGNS FOR MANCHESTER CITY ✍️

We are incredibly proud to announce that Ronnie signed for Manchester City midway through Season 25/26!

This one means so much to the Club as Ronnie became our first ever girl to sign for an academy, making this a truly special moment in our club’s journey!

What makes this even more special is that Ronnie has been part of our setup since she was just 6 years old and was a regular attendee at our Development Centre over at before we made our U9’s Girls Team at the time!

When Ronnie first joined us, she was a very shy young girl who lacked confidence. Fast forward to today and she has become an integral part of our talented U11 Girls squad, adored by her teammates and respected by everyone around her!

As a goalkeeper, Ronnie is simply outstanding. Her shot-stopping ability is incredible and her communication with the players in front of her is second to none. We’ve lost count of the number of times she’s produced saves that have left us speechless!

What stands out most is her dedication to improving. Ronnie works so hard at her game and has earned every opportunity that has come her way, where she is now part of arguably the strongest U11 girls programme in the country at Manchester City!

Again, a huge shout out and thank you to who played the biggest role in giving Ronnie a platform to showcase her talents against the best ETC’s and Academies, which is how she got spotted by Manchester City! They are quite literally the best place for girls development in this country and we are so pleased to have such a good relationship with them as a Club!

Ronnie, we couldn’t be prouder of you. From a shy young girl taking her first steps in the game to becoming our first ever female academy signing, you’ve been an inspiration to so many of the girls coming through behind you!

Keep working hard, keep learning and most importantly keep enjoying the journey and all the experiences you are going to get with Manchester City! You are absolutely phenomenal and there is no ceiling to where you can go in this game!

EMILY SIGNS FOR MANCHESTER UNITED ✍️

We are incredibly proud to announce that Emily has signed for Manchester United at the end of Season 25/26!

If you were building a defender from scratch, you’d want them to have the qualities Emily has.

She is an absolute brick wall at the back and will put her body on the line without a second thought if it means preventing a goal. Time and time again we’ve seen her make crucial blocks, last-ditch tackles and defend her goal with everything she’s got!

It’s not often you come across a player who genuinely loves defending, but Emily is definitely one of them. She knows her strengths, embraces the defensive side of the game and is never fazed by any challenge that comes her way.

Emily has spent time around a number of ETC programmes throughout her journey and every opportunity has been thoroughly deserved. Her attitude, consistency and determination have always stood out.

Emily is the first name on the teamsheet. Every training session, every game, every challenge, she gives 110%. Her work rate is incredible and she sets the standard for those around her.

This opportunity didn’t come easy either. Emily had to come through a tough three-phase trial process at Manchester United, but she took it all in her stride and earned herself a well-deserved place in their academy!

We’re absolutely delighted for Emily and her family. This is a reward for years of hard work, commitment and dedication to improving her game.

Emily, keep working hard, keep believing in yourself and keep doing what you’ve always done. The future is whatever you want it to be!

HATTIE SIGNS FOR MANCHESTER CITY ✍️

We are incredibly proud to announce that Hattie has signed for Manchester City at the end of Season 25/26!

If there’s one thing you can guarantee with Hattie, it’s that she’ll give absolutely everything every single time she steps onto a football pitch. Whether it’s a training session or a match day, Hattie covers every blade of grass and gives 110% for her teammates. She’s the type of player every coach loves having in their squad.

One minute she’s scoring rockets from distance, the next she’s flying into a huge tackle in midfield or producing a last-ditch challenge to stop a certain goal. Her determination, bravery and work rate are second to none.

Over the last two seasons, Hattie has been part of Manchester United’s ETC programme, but her performances continued to catch the attention of clubs across the game. That hard work has now been rewarded with a move across Manchester as she signs for Manchester City!

A huge amount of credit must also go to our very good friends at . Hattie has been part of their programme for a number of years, attending group sessions, 1-to-1s and representing their team. They have provided Hattie with fantastic opportunities to test herself against some of the best academies and ETC programmes in the country, and we can’t speak highly enough of the work they do!

The great news for us is that Hattie will continue to wear the Beswick shirt next season and remain an important part of our U11 Girls squad. We are absolutely delighted that her journey with us continues!

Hattie, we’re all incredibly proud of you. Keep working hard, keep learning, keep being yourself and the rest will take care of itself!

IVY SIGNS FOR BURNLEY ✍️

We are incredibly proud to announce that Ivy signed for Burnley at the start of Season 25/26 and went on to represent the club throughout the entire campaign 👏⚽️

Ivy is a player who possesses lightning speed and knows exactly where the goal is. She’s a constant threat going forward and has the ability to change a game in an instant!

One of the things that stands out most about Ivy is her consistency. Week after week, game after game, she delivers. You always know what you’re going to get from her and she never drops below a 7/10 performance!

Not only is Ivy a fantastic footballer, she’s also a brilliant character. She’s a pleasure to coach, a pleasure to be around and someone who always represents herself, her teammates and her family in the right way!

As things stand, Ivy is currently re-trialling with Burnley’s U12s ahead of the 26/27 season, whilst also completing trials with a number of other clubs, meaning she has some exciting options ahead of her!

The great news for us is that regardless of which academy route Ivy chooses, she’ll still be putting on the Beswick shirt next season as part of our U11 Girls team, and we’re absolutely delighted she’ll be continuing her journey with us!

Ivy, we’re all incredibly proud of everything you’ve achieved so far. Keep working hard, keep smiling and keep enjoying your football. The future is very bright for you!
