You clock 111 on the microwave and you're straight in your bestie's DMs.
You'll read a synchronicity like it's a headline. Instant. No hesitation. You know exactly what it means to you.
Now ask what your actual pattern's been trying to tell you. The one that shows up every time you make the same decision and end up in the same place.
Nothing. Radio silence. Never looked once.
That's the part nobody talks about.
We've all got a system fluent in reading signs from outside ourselves and completely illiterate in reading what's happening inside ourselves, even though your Human Design chart gives you a way of looking at that second system.
It's specific to you. It's just never been taught to you as something worth reading.
That's the difference between a life that's actually yours and one you've been living on someone else's word, whether that word came from the universe, your bestie, or anyone but you.
Misalignment is information. Not failure. It just needs reading the same way you'd read anything else you actually paid attention to.

There's a version of "having it together" that's actually just very well managed avoidance.
Not because the routine's wrong. Because it's airtight. No gap. No pause long enough for the actual question to surface: the one underneath the schedule, not the one the schedule answers.
That's not a flaw in the system. That's the system doing exactly what it was built to do.
In Human Design terms, a schedule that runs on autopilot is a schedule that never has to check in with your authority. It just executes. No pause to actually feel whether today's version of the plan is still true.
Misalignment is information. Not failure. It doesn't stop showing up just because the day's too full to notice it.
If you're ready to make space for the question underneath the schedule, One Decision At A Time is a free audio guide to start with. Link in comments.
You're the first to text your bestie when you see 111 on the microwave.
But the pattern that's actually keeping you stuck? You've never once looked at it.
14 months running Designed To Align alongside full time employment. Here's how it's actually played out.
I invested £2,100 in my Human Design certification. Best decision I've made. I now understand the shape of my business, and why I'm designed to move through friction rather than around it.
I started in parenting, trusting my husband's business knowledge over my instinct to serve women more generally. I couldn't get it off the ground. It was hard work.
So I went back to what I originally wanted, and got my first four clients in quick succession.
Then came the visibility trap I got stuck in. I purchased an Instagram growth course. Instagram itself didn't grow, but I made a genuine connection, and she unexpectedly became a client. It gave me a clue about how I'm actually designed to create opportunities.
And then community.
This is the one I massively underestimated. In the parenting phase, I was trying to be visible, but I wasn't talking about the thing my design is actually meant to say. So it won't surprise you that I achieved very little externally. Internally though, I learned how to position myself correctly, and how to trust my ability to recognise patterns easily.
The moment I stepped back into leading, something clicked. My role made sense.
That's when I saw the bigger pattern. Getting it wrong is the point. All the disappointments, the unexpected wins, the what the hell am I doing moments.
Misalignment is information, not failure. I was learning to notice the pattern, understand it, and change direction.
I've stopped trying to be aligned, and started Living my Human Design in real life. What I call Design Living, in case you're interested 😂
Spaciousness isn't a nice to have for me. It's where I have the room to connect the dots, see the pattern, and get it true, not get it right.
And that's ultimately the work I do.
Human Design helps you see what's happening underneath what keeps happening, so you can understand the pattern instead of just changing the symptom.
One decision at a time.

New job. New person. New city.
Six months in, you're googling the same question you were googling before you made the leap.
That's not necessarily about things going wrong. That's what you see on the surface. Underneath it, the pattern's still there, unread, showing up again in a different outfit.
Misalignment is information. Not failure. It's not telling you to try harder or choose better, it's telling you what's actually going on underneath the choosing.
Change the job, change the partner, and skip the pattern, it'll just find you again. Same shape, new label.

I coach women through misalignment for a living. I still missed my own pattern, twice, eight weeks apart.
The first time, I called it exhaustion and rested. It worked, for a while. The second time, I had an even better excuse ready. Full-time job, growing a business, a three year old. Who wouldn't be tired?
Neither explanation was actually true.
As a Generator in Human Design, someone whose energy is designed to respond, not force, both times I was looking at the excuse instead of the pattern underneath it. Same root, two completely different disguises.
Honestly, I haven't posted in six days, and filming this one felt different. I wasn't trying to optimise the s**t out of it.
For the first time, I feel completely detached from the outcome. A few weeks ago, I'd have been stalking the dashboard for proof.
Today I don't need the external proof reflected back. I feel what's right, and that's why I'm at ease. Maybe I've finally embraced my human design as it actually is, not what I thought it was.
If you keep hitting the same thing in a different outfit, that's worth getting curious about.
The part nobody talks about is what you do with the clarity once it arrives.
Because by the time it lands just after the chaos, just after the override you've already built a whole life around not acting on it.
That's the real work. Not finding your Authority. Trusting it when it shows up in the middle of everything still being loud.
Most women aren't lost. They're just practised at waiting until it's safe. Until someone else confirms it. Until the timing is better.
The timing is never better. It's just that eventually the cost of staying becomes louder than the fear of leaving.
That's when things actually move.
DM me DESIGN if you're in the middle of building the life you actually want while still holding the one you haven't let go of yet.

It's been a while since I recorded a podcast episode, but this one felt important.
Last week I experienced the very thing I teach women to avoid.
As a 6/2 Generator, I thought I understood burnout.
I didn't.
What happened completely challenged my understanding of what burnout can actually look like for a Generator, and it made me question whether many of us are missing the signs altogether.
If you're a Generator or you're curious about Human Design I think you'll find this conversation interesting.

What Burnout Actually Feels Like For A Generator In Human Design Designed to Align: Finding Clarity in Seasons of Transition · Episode
I did everything by my Human Design. Or so I thought.
I ignored the frustration while I was building and creating, and pushed straight through it, because if you're a Generator (one of the energy types in Human Design), that's kind of your superpower.
We can sustain output most people can't. So when something's not working, the instinct isn't to stop. It's to push harder.
I told myself the fix was one more adjustment away. It wasn't.
What I didn't clock at the time: the frustration wasn't a warning to push harder. It was the first sign of misalignment, quietly building, long before the wall showed up.
Misalignment is information. Not failure. It doesn't need fixing the moment it shows up as frustration. It needs listening to.
Save this for the next time frustration shows up and your instinct is to push through.
We're conditioned. We're also the ones responsible for unlearning it. Not another framework, not another course.
The pattern I see most, myself included, is that we look outward. We blame the job, the timing, the framework we haven't found yet, for why life still looks the way it does. It's easier to believe the answer is out there somewhere, still undiscovered, than to sit with the possibility that it's already in front of us.
But the unlearning doesn't require more study. Just spaciousness. Introspection. A bit of curiosity about what's actually there, underneath the excuse.
The answers you're searching for rarely arrive from outside you. They become clearer when you stop running from what's already there.
If this gave you something to think about, save it for the next time you catch yourself searching outside yourself.
