Tonight we were in action away at Bolton County Football Club in the it was our first game in the group stage and a team we could test ourselves against from the division above, we controlled the game and the lads put in a strong performance, we had a lot of lads away and so several players were playing out of position which makes it even sweeter too! Goals from Hamad, Ingle, Onyeugba and Olori sealed the 4-1 victory. Up next is Astley & Tyldesley at home on Thursday night for a 7pm KO 🔵⚽️

Our second pre-season friendly this afternoon matched us up against Maine Road FC Reserves, a young side came down to New Alder Park and a goal in the 32nd minute after Monton were penalised for a player not leaving the field quick enough put us down to 10men for 1 minute which was long enough for Maine Road to break the deadlock. It wasn’t the best display from the lads especially in the first half, maybe the heat was a factor but also a little bit of complacency crept into the performance today, second half was much improved and we took control of the game scoring 5 goals, the player to be thrown into the limelight and who stole the show in that second half was 15yr old Connor Ingle who was introduced on 60minutes and the 15yr old lead the line well, chased every ball down and grabbed himself a brace for his endeavours, a classy display from the young man. We now go again on Monday night away at Bolton County in the Atherton Charity Cup for a 7pm KO!
