Start of another busy week at Hawk Green. Sunday will be a day of rest but something on every day of the week, starting tonight!

2nd XI triumphed against Lindow at a resplendent Rhode Field yesterday. After posting 198, Green bowled the visitors out for 92. Joe Butler top scored for 50 and was ably supported by Ateeq Ur Rehman with 45. Bowling wise Ateeq took a splendid 5fer with 5/10 and Jacob O’Reilly (sponsored by Kameleoon) took 2/17.

The 3rd XI have just finished at Bredbury St. Marks, losing by three wickets. Top score from Tom Pollard with 28 and best bowling figures from Jack Dutton 2/10 and Ben Giles (sponsored by Grassroots Pay) with 2/19.

2nd XI lead the way this weekend at Rhode Field against Lindow 4th XI, 3rd XI away at Bredbury St Marks on Sunday.

Can the Green continue last weekend’s 100% record 🤞 🏏. Come down and support the teams, everybody welcome.

Slightly quieter this week as the summer holidays kick in! Still plenty of cricket for us to enjoy though.

Trio of wins completed this weekend as the 3rd XI pulled off another last over win against Broadbottom to go with the two yesterday.

A Bickley family affair as son Josh took a wicket and dad Andy top scored with 35. However, loads of contribution as Kieran Henderson (sponsored by SOS Hygiene Technologies) took 3/22 as Broadbottom posted a good total of 189. In response almost too many contributions to mention but Robert Baker (29 off 22) and Jacob O’Reilly (17 off 16) steered the Green home with two balls to spare. Thanks to Brendan Pattison & Son Ltd. and Kameleoon respectively for sponsoring them two.
