Huge congratulations to 2026 Classical Focus graduate Paul Whitty who has signed with Bancroft Talent. Having been offered a variety of contracts he has chosen to join Princess Cruises as a production dancer, cruising Japan and Southeast Asia onboard the Diamond Princess. Such a wonderful start for what promises to be an exceptional career. Wishing you the most amazing time.

Many Congratulations to Jazz Focus Graduate Lois Fitzsimmonds who is currently in rehearsals for Holland America Cruise Lines as Dance Captain. This will mark Lois's second contract for Blackburn International, and her eighth consecutive professional contract since graduating in 2019. She will be sailing the Caribbean until March next year. WOW - Lois you are non-stop. We are so very proud of your continued success, it’s a real testament to your talent, hard work, and tenacity. Have the most amazing contract!!!

DaDA funding for September 2026 – still available at Northern Ballet School

A few places remain on our three-year Diploma in Professional Dance, and Dance and Drama Award (DaDA) funding is still open for students who show exceptional talent and potential.

Train daily in classical ballet, jazz, contemporary, and musical theatre at The Dancehouse in central Manchester, with regular performances in our 430-seat theatre and a third-year industry showcase in front of leading agents.

We'd particularly love to hear from male dancers ready to take the next step.

Many congratulations to 2026 Jazz Focus graduate Ava Cattermole-Wagner who has secured her first professional contract and has already joined the performance team at Haven, as Animation Host and Swing Dancer. What a fantastic start to your career Ava, we are so very proud of you. Have an amazing time!!!

We are thrilled to announce that Jazz Focus graduate Bradley Parsons will be joining the cast of Moulin Rouge Das Musical in Hamburg. Following graduation in 2015 Bradley spent three years with Royal Caribbean Cruises, dancing in production shows, as well as being Assistant Dance Captain on CATS the Musical. Subsequent Musical Theatre credits include the German Premiere of Anastasia Das Musical, the International Tour of Phantom of the Opera, Tanz Der Vampire in Stuttgart as Cross Swing, and Disney’s Tarzan, also in Stuttgart, as Swing and Assistant Dance Captain. Bradley will be joining fellow Jazz Focus graduate and RCCL CATS alumni Sarah-Anne McLaren, who, having recently completed a successful run in Moulin Rouge Das Musical at the Musical Dome in Cologne, will be returning to the show as it transfers to Hamburg. Bradley and Sarah-Anne, huge congratulations to you both, we are so very proud of your continued success. Wishing you a successful run!!!

Year 3 Jazz Focus student Eva McEvoy has been keeping busy during the Summer Break, performing as a Showgirl at the Silverstone Formula 1 Grand Prix for Black Skull events. What a fantastic opportunity, and a real insight into professional life whilst in training. We are super proud of you Eva and hope you had a wonderful time!!!

Huge Congratulations to Jazz Focus graduate Dan Gooddy who is appearing alongside a wealth of dance talent in Spiderman Brand New Day, which has just opened in cinemas worldwide. WOW! What an amazing project to be involved in. Dan we are so very proud of your continued success!!!

Huge Congratulations to NBS graduate, faculty member, and guest choreographer, Ryan Upton, who will be joining the cast of Andrew Lloyd Webbers Phantom of the Opera, at the Musical Dome in Cologne, as Ballet Swing, Fight Captain, and Assistant Dance Captain. Having recently completed a successful run as Ensemble in Disney’s Tarzan in Stuttgart, Ryan has had a busy year dancing with BalletMar in Slant of the Earth, and with London Dance Collaborative at the Royal Academy of Dance, as well as appearing in Derrière on a G-String at the Kings Head Theatre. He was also Associate Choreographer on Blaze of Glory for Welsh National Opera. Ryan you are non-stop and we are so very proud of your continued success - very well deserved. Wishing you the most wonderful contract!!!
