Just want to say a very big thank you to our sponsor Séana, and her puppera Dagda who competed today in everything…

Dagda smashed his old WeightPull record which was 80kg back at Toome Fair 2 years ago and achieved his novice cert from Barry Kelly at Drom Aluinn Kennels

Dagda pulled an incredible 240kg this time round, that’s three times more impressive than his last time coming from a dog who hasn’t trained WeightPull nor had a harness on in over 2 years…. He also achieved second in his weight class also

Dagda also competed in the
A-Frame achieving 30 reps coming 1st
High jump achieving 4.3ft coming 3rd
Long jump achieving 14ft coming 1st

What an impressive day all round for Séana and her companion Dagda cannot wait to see them in action at the next one.

That’s a wrap on Mid - Ulster WeightPull and Athletics Association very first event….

The team would like to throughly thank each and every individual who made the travel to compete in both the WeightPull and athletics.

You will all be remembered as being the very first competitors to compete at our event and we thank you for making that so special !!!

Some amazing moments happened and some shocks and a wide variety of dogs in attendance, which is great to see….

So here is to the next event, hope to see similar faces and maybe some new ones….

I have to say Drom Aluinn Kennels really knows how to make a track work on any surface

With this track you will have to overcome the grass, uneven surface weather conditions and multiple other conditions
