I feel like the fitness industry spent years convincing people that if they weren't crawling out of a session, it didn't count.

It counts.

You can train hard without being annihilated.
You can make progress without being sore for four days.
You can finish a session feeling better than when you walked in.

Some weeks we push.
Some weeks we hold things steady.
Some weeks life has already taken enough out of you and training needs to meet you where you are.

That isn't “taking it easy”. That's sensible programming.

The aim is not to win one workout.

The aim is to still be training next month, next year and for as many years as your body will let you.

Consistency will beat the occasional heroic workout every single time.

Today’s gym session sucked. 😂

I couldn’t be arsed.
I had zero motivation.
I felt like I was basically just there ticking boxes.

But I dragged my sorry arse to the gym anyway and got it done.

And weirdly… I actually hit quite a few PBs. 😂💪

I also somehow managed to strain my neck on the hack squat, so that was a nice little bonus. 🙃

But we did it.

And because apparently I’ve become that person, I finished the whole thing off with a 20-minute spin session — which is quickly becoming my new obsession. 🚴‍♀️

So if you’re sitting there waiting for motivation to magically appear before you exercise…

This is your sign that sometimes it just isn’t coming.

Not every session feels good.
Not every workout has you bouncing through the gym full of energy.
Sometimes you’re tired. Sometimes you can’t be arsed. Sometimes you’re literally just ticking the boxes.

And that’s where discipline comes in.

You get yourself there.
You do what you came to do.
You tick the bloody box. ✔️

Because a crap session still counts.

And sometimes, apparently, the crap sessions even come with PBs. 😂

🎄 CHRISTMAS PARTY 2026 🎄

Yes, I know it’s only September… but plans are already underway for this year’s PT Christmas party 👀

And I think I may have outdone myself with this one 😂

I’m not revealing the main event just yet, but I’ll give you a few little clues…

🪶 There will be feathers
💃 There will be music
✨ We’ll be learning something VERY different to our usual squats and deadlifts
🥂 There’ll be food, drinks and plenty of Christmas treats
🎄 And I’ve got some ridiculous team Christmas games planned for afterwards

Let’s just say… you may see a completely different side to some of your training partners 😂

Absolutely no exercise involved — although I can't promise you won't ache the next day!

More details coming soon…

Any guesses what I’ve got planned? 👀🪶💃

Three people. One coach. And absolutely nowhere to hide at the back. 😅

That, in a nutshell, is semi-private personal training.

It has the lovely bit of training with other people, the laughs, the encouragement, the “are you serious, Courtney?” looks across the room, but you still get proper personal coaching.

I know what you're working on.
I know when you're ready to progress.
I can see when your form starts to change.
And I can adapt an exercise there and then instead of expecting you to keep up with a room full of people doing exactly the same thing.

This isn't a fitness class with three people in it.

It's personal training, shared.

For me, that's the difference.

If you want personal coaching without the 1-1 format, send me a message.

September is Su***de Prevention Month, and this is something I don't feel I can just post a generic quote about.

I've had my own battles with my mental health. I know what it feels like when your head isn't a particularly nice place to be, and I also know how difficult it can be to explain what's going on inside your head to anyone else.

For me, exercise completely changed my life.

Not because going to the gym magically fixed everything. It didn't.

But movement became my lifeline.

It gave me somewhere to go when my head was loud. It gave me something to focus on. It gave me a reason to get up, to leave the house, to feel strong, to feel capable and, sometimes, simply to get through the day.

And it still is my lifeline now.

That's a huge part of why I care so much about the people I work with.

Personal training, to me, has never just been about losing weight, lifting heavier or changing how your body looks.

Sometimes you come in and train.

Sometimes you come in and rant.

Sometimes we laugh.

Sometimes you're having a really s**t day and we just take things a little slower.

And sometimes that hour is the one thing you've done for yourself all week.

I will never pretend that exercise is a replacement for professional mental health support. If you're struggling, please talk to someone and get the support you deserve.

But I will always believe in the power of movement to help us feel a little more like ourselves.

You don't have to be fit. You don't have to be confident. You don't have to know what you're doing.

You just have to start somewhere.

And if you're reading this and you're struggling right now, please don't suffer on your own. Talk to someone. Tell them you're not okay.

You matter more than you realise. 🤍

Ever left a group fitness class wondering if you were even doing the exercises correctly?

Or perhaps you've felt like just another person in the room, following the instructor and hoping you're doing it right.

That's because group fitness classes and semi-private personal training are two completely different things.
In a typical fitness class, everyone follows the same workout, at the same pace, often doing the same exercises regardless of ability, injuries or goals.
Semi-private personal training is different because it's built around YOU.

✨ Your programme is tailored to your goals.
✨ Your weights are tracked every session, so you're continually progressing.
✨ We use progressive overload to help you get stronger safely, week after week.
✨ If you've got an injury, a niggle or need an exercise adapting, we do it there and then.
✨ You're never just another face in the room – I know your goals, your strengths and where I need to push you (or pull you back!).

One thing I won't compromise on is technique.
Your form always comes before the weight.
I want you leaving every session feeling stronger, not injured. If your technique needs adjusting, we'll slow things down, coach your movement and, if needed, reduce the weight. Strong foundations lead to long-term results.

With just three ladies per session, you get the accountability and coaching of personal training at a fraction of the cost of one-to-one PT. That means many of our ladies can afford to train twice a week, making even better progress.

And it's not just about the exercise.
It's an hour where you switch off from the stresses of everyday life. We work hard, we celebrate each other's wins, we have a good laugh, and for many of us it's a little like therapy.

You're supported, encouraged and challenged every single session.

If you've been looking for something that's more personal than a gym class, but more affordable than one-to-one personal training, this could be exactly what you've been searching for.

Small groups. Personal coaching. Safe progression. Real results. ❤️
