Lossie Kart Club attended Clay Pigeon for Round 2 of the AFKC.
After only having Kart 69 compete in Round 1, we were pleased to have three teams participating this weekend.
It wasn’t without its problems, however, as a couple of mechanical issues across Thursday and Friday limited track time for both Kart 66 and Kart 99.
Race day proved to be another mixed bag for the teams:
Kart 69 showed strong pace and secured some solid results, although the team were hoping for more.
Kart 99 suffered some poor luck in Race 1, before the weekend came to an early end following a big crash on Lap 1 of Race 2.
Kart 66 had two novice drivers in the seat, with both gaining valuable race experience over the weekend.
Race Results:
Kart 69
Race 1 – P11 Overall (P8 Military)
Race 2 – P10 Overall (P4 Military)
Kart 99
Race 1 – P34 Overall (P27 Military)
Race 2 – DNF following a major crash on Lap 2
Kart 66
Race 1 – P37 Overall (P30 Military)
Race 2 – P28 Overall (P20 Military)
A huge thanks to Wraith Racing Karts for the chassis and support throughout the weekend, to RPM Racing Engines for the power and Ed Nussey for the photos.
