🚨 An Amit Bhatia-led consortium has today completed an investment deal with Fenway Sports Group to purchase a 30% stake in - believed to be worth around £1.4billion.

The 1892 Holdings consortium also features the founders of Facebook and Amazon, Jeff Bezos and Eduardo Saverin.

Former Queens Park Rangers director Bhatia takes on the new title of vice-chairman and a place on the reconfigured board.

Bryan Baum, the managing partner of K5 Global, will instead represent Bezos on Liverpool's new-look board of directors, while the wife of Facebook co-founder Saverin, Elaine, will also join the expanded Liverpool board.

The Reds' long-term approach to the transfer market will remain unchanged, while the day-to-day running of the club is also unaltered with FSG president Mike Gordon resuming such duties earlier this summer following Michael Edwards's decision to step down as CEO of football.

🆕 INFO: Liverpool are waiting for Inter’s next move for Curtis Jones, so letting another first-team midfielder like Mac Allister go this summer is not part of their immediate plans.

However, Liverpool could change their stance if a serious offer came in. There is none on the table, but a midfield merry-go-round could begin if Rodri moves to Spain, potentially bringing Mac Allister into the picture.
