Ben’s Ibanez GB30. Lovely 1987 George Benson signature. This guitar is one year older than me and it’s in much better condition. In for a setup to C standard using Ernie Ball 56-12. Nice.

Jamie’s custom GS1000. In for a setup to Drop C using Burly Slinkys. Super impressed with this one, very resonant body, tasty matte finish and some tidy wiring.

Back at it! New workshop fully up and running now I’m back off tour for the duration- I’m around for all of your setups, rig builds and repairs everything in between.

Jamie’s Jazzmaster - needed a new volume pot and a setup to drop C using Burlys. Super hot wide range humbucker in the bridge of this one - hardwired to bypass lead / rhythm circuit and tone control - a pure rock machine!

Ettore’s BC Rich Warlock. (🤘🤘🤘) In for a setup and some electronics tweaks. Replaced pickup switch with a new Switchcraft and a etup to drop B with nice low action.

Dan’s Epiphone SG. In for a setup. Came in with 3 strings and a neck pickup held in place with sellotape 😅 Full setup with Regular Slinky’s and replaced a broken nut with a graphtec. Nice lightweight SG 🖤

Dan’s Parker Hornet. In for an electronics tweak - a bad ground resulted in no output. Gave the electronics a once over and then setup with Ernie Ball Regular Slinky’s. Amazed by how light and resonant this guitar is. These old Parkers are only gonna go up in value…

Ben’s MIJ Fender Jazz. In for a setup and some bridge work to replace lost grub screws. Lovely 50th Anniversary model with a nice thin nitro finish.

2023! I’ve been sparse on posting setups recently as I’ve not been accepting any workshop work while I’m out on tour, but I’m home for another 2 weeks, so I’m back in action (DM if you need anything looked at!)

Here’s Roy’s SX P Bass. Lovely colour. The action was way too high when this got dropped in, but now it’s setup to play like butter!

Ben’s Musicman Stingray - managed to squeeze this in for the bass maestro during the few days between tours 😅

In for a switch to Musicman Saber. Wound to 70s specs, this came with vintage style long pole magnets, so required some routing work. Sounds killer and I’ve already threatened to buy it off him.

Stef’s Fender Marcus Miller Signature Jazz Bass. Possibly the most well know ‘super jazz’ out there - this active monster sounded absolutely killer. Needed some light action adjustment to get it singing - setup to E standard using 50-105s. Yes please.

Stef’s PRS Kestral. A lovely through-neck super Jazz. In for a setup a Drop D with 45-105s. Super modern ‘could almost be active’ tones from this beast. Lovely.

Charlie’s Yeti. In for a basic setup treatment. Charlie plays in two brutal bands who use different tunings - and Wasted Death - as a result this needed a setup to cope with some low lows, and some less low lows. Now it’s nice, stable and it intonated and ready to roar.

First time I’ve played a Dunable, and the workmanship is second to none. A beaut.
