In a new series we are visiting local residents doing their bit for the environment and sustainability. Most sane people know that we can’t continue the way are heading today. First out is a new start-up called JOA; .fashionmadelocal they source material from charity shops, upcycle it to make designer jackets and then return 30% of the profit back to the charity shop. Great way to save the environment and contribute to a better local community. We met up with one of the founders, Olivia, for a quick chat. Click on the link in our bio to see the story or copy this link ilovechatsworthroad.co.uk/JOA

Visit them at the E17 PreLoved Club this Sunday.

Tag local residents doing their bit for a better environment you think we should feature.

In issue 3 a few years ago we featured local resident David Bez and his success with his first cook book David Bez - now published in 21 countries. David has not rested on his laurels and we decided to visit his and Antonio Alderuccio’s latest project at the plant based, GF bakery, cafe, restaurant & academy Plant Academy on Mare Street. In addition to delicious and filling plant based food the shop also includes which targets all people who want to learn how to improve their skills on cooking veggies that taste and look good. Our lunch was the super tasty and filling ‘super food bowl’ and a bloody kombucha beetroot drink. Yum yum!

Watching the part 2 after school at last week. Amazing to have such a great independent cinema on our street. Did you know that they opened a second screen recently? Check out their program for movies all day.

People’s Choice! Always seem to be open and the smell from the bbq starting around 11am makes you want to have an early lunch. The jerk chicken is one of the finest in London. What is your favourite dish on their menu?
