Have you ever gone through an experience that brought you and people around you so much pain and shame? Twenty-three years ago, as a teenage girl born in Nigeria and brought to the UK for greener pastures. I was bullied because of my accent and so desperately wanted to fit in and make friends. One thing led to another, and at the age of 18, I became pregnant. This brought so much pain to my
parents, the church and the community around me. I was called all sorts of names, stopped from singing in the choir, as I was told I was polluting the alter and had to marry the guy to rectify the shame. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to speak at various events and share my story of pain to purpose, from teenage mum to charity Founder and CEO, a leader in empowering young people and grassroots communities. Empowering individuals to become positive change agents.
