The world’s biggest table tennis event returns during the ITTF Centenary year, as players from around the globe come together in Gangneung, South Korea, from 5–12 June 2026 for a historic celebration of the sport.

Liu Shiwen’s journey includes one of China’s toughest moments, the 2010 ITTF World Team Championships loss to Singapore. A defeat that became part of her story, growth, and legacy.
Today, her impact on the sport continues beyond the table. Liu Shiwen now serves as Co-Chair of the ITTF Athletes’ Commission for 2026–2030, helping represent the voices of athletes within the federation and continuing ITTF’s commitment to gender parity in athlete leadership.

Anders Lind was featured in the iconic Danish comic alongside a character inspired by Truls Moregard, bringing a table tennis story to life in true Anders And fashion.
“It’s a huge honour to be part of an Anders And comic. It’s such a legendary series that everyone knows and it was part of my childhood, so I’m very proud and happy about it,” said Anders Lind. “All my friends say it’s the biggest achievement of my career, and honestly… I can’t say I disagree.”
