The 2027 ITTF and WTT Table Tennis Calendar is here!
Twelve months of the best table tennis are mapped out, opening with the road to the ITTF Singles World Cup 2027 and building toward the sport's biggest events across the year.
The standout addition is the ITTF Doubles World Cup, a brand new event on the calendar running from 19 to 25 April. Featuring Men's Doubles, Women's Doubles and Mixed Doubles, the event brings all three disciplines together at the ITTF World Cup level for the first time.
Its introduction comes as Men's and Women's Doubles prepare to return to the Olympic programme at Los Angeles 2028, joining Mixed Doubles in an expanded Olympic doubles programme and giving players a brand new pinnacle event to aim for on the road to LA28.

The ITTF Hopes Team delivered brilliant results at the Euro Mini Champs 2026 in Schiltigheim, France.
In the Under-13 Boys singles, Lucas Alexandre (NZL) and Reah Krol Shahar (ISR) went 1-2, topping the podium together.
In the Under-13 Girls singles, Xintian Gu (SGP) and Emma Yang (USA) finished 3rd and 4th.
A brilliant reward for the hard work put in during the training camp in Strasbourg.

The ITTF School Programme has introduced table tennis to over 500 children across four continents, and the growth is just getting started.
The numbers so far:
6 countries: Namibia, Grenada, Guatemala, Kyrgyzstan, Togo & Pakistan
21 schools
518 children reached (46.9% girls!)
168 coaching sessions delivered
But the real story is what's happening beyond the numbers. In Namibia, six schools have entered the national junior competition, with girls outnumbering boys for the first time in the country's history. In Grenada, teachers say previously disruptive students became noticeably more focused. In Kyrgyzstan, four young players have already moved on to specialised training.
"This project demonstrated that even within a short period of time, it is possible to inspire children to enjoy table tennis, establish a strong foundation for the sport in schools, and identify talented young players."- Akylbek Kasymov, Secretary General, Table Tennis Association of the Kyrgyz Republic.
This is what grassroots development looks like: train the teachers, equip the schools, build the partnerships, and let the game take root.

Ma Lin remains the only man in table tennis history to win Olympic gold in singles, doubles, and team events, an achievement built, in part, on his response to a rule change many believed would end his career.
When the sport moved from the 38mm to the 40mm ball in 2000, penhold players like Ma Lin faced what he calls being "sentenced to death," a shift that stripped away the spin and power their game depended on. He answered by becoming the first player to win a world title with the new ball, at the ITTF World Cup in Yangzhou.
Across nearly three decades, Ma Lin navigated almost every major rule change in the sport's history, including ball size, scoring format, and serve regulations, and came to see each one not as a disruption, but as the game maturing in public.
In this latest instalment of Voices of ITTF Legends, Ma Lin, now head coach of the Chinese women's national team, reflects on adaptation, recovering from defeat, and the legacy he hopes to pass on.
