Why do some rooms just feel better than others?

This is Dune, one of our limewash colours. It’s made from natural burnt umber — earth pigment sourced and milled by traditional ateliers.

Most paint colours are made from petro-chemical tints. We’ve never been interested in that.

Each layer builds the colour, and the minerals in the limestone and earth pigments do something interesting with light — it bounces back with a nuance and warmth that shifts through the day. You notice it without really knowing why the room feels the way it does.

That’s what nature does. It’s hard to argue with.
