Stuck, lost, or feeling like something’s just… off? Midlife can be full of crossroads; identity, career, relationships, energy or purpose. It’s not a crisis.

But it is a turning point. And that’s exactly where coaching can help.

How many brilliant ideas do you have on holiday?

And you promise yourself that when you get home you’ll make more time for yourself, change jobs, write the book, start saying no, finally make that ‘thing’ happen.

Then a week later, it’s as if those thoughts never existed. 😖

I doubt it’s because you lack motivation.

Or because those ideas weren’t real.

It’s likely because, on holiday, your mind finally had the space to think.

Back home, life has gots noisy again.

That’s one of the biggest misconceptions I see. People assume they need more discipline, more willpower or another fresh start.

Often, what they actually need is the space to hear themselves think.

That’s what coaching gives you. 💥

Together, we untangle what’s going on, make sense of what’s changed, and work out how to turn those holiday promises into real, lasting changes. 🚀

If you’ve come back from holiday with a notebook full of ideas but no idea how to make them stick, let’s have a chat.

You don’t need another holiday to find that clarity. Sometimes you just need the space to hear yourself think.

The biggest misconception I see is this:

People assume that if life no longer fits, they must be doing something wrong.

In reality, they’re often just asking different questions.

Who am I now?

What matters now?

What comes next?

Those are the conversations I have with clients every week.

Sometimes what people need isn’t more advice. They need the space to hear themselves think.

For years I’ve worked with people facing unexpected crossroads, identity shifts and those moments when work, life or identity no longer fits.

If that’s where you are, I’d love to have a conversation.

No prep. No pressure. Just the space to think things through.

FACT: A new notebook will definitely change your life. 🚀

Except if that were true, I’d have cracked it by notebook number 23. 😜

By now I’d be living in a beautiful house overlooking the sea, drinking coffee on my terrace while my cats finally started contributing financially. ☕️🐈

Every few months I convince myself this notebook is the one.

The one where I’ll become more organised.

More focused. More disciplined. More sorted and calm.

Turns out the notebook was never the problem. 💡

The thing I’ve learnt from coaching hundreds of people is that most of us don’t need another place to write our thoughts down. 📝

We need somewhere to untangle them.

Because when your head is full, everything feels urgent. 🤯

You go round and round the same questions.

You can’t see what’s important because it’s buried underneath everything else.

A good coaching conversation isn’t about giving you answers. ❗️

It’s about helping you hear your own. 🤓

That’s why people often leave a session saying: “I kinda knew that already… I just couldn’t see it.”

So no, you probably don’t need notebook number 24. 🥺

You might just need the space to hear yourself think.

💬 Question: how many blank notebooks do you own? Please tell me I’m not the only one stockpiling them. 📚

Silly but useful analogy incoming:

I was talking about Tetris to a client recently. Every falling block represented something asking for attention - work, family, emails, exercise, admin, friends, the washing… all the things that make up life.

When everything arrives at once, it feels like Tetris on the hardest level. You’re frantically trying to twist each piece into place before the next one appears.

We spend so much time trying to get better at fitting everything in, don’t we? Society makes us believe it’s possible.
But I wonder if that’s the wrong way to look at it.

Maybe the question isn’t, “How do I fit more into my week?”
But “What actually deserves a place in it?”

Not every block has to be caught!
Sometimes balance isn’t about becoming more organised. It’s about deciding what you’re no longer willing to organise your life around.

Who remembers playing Tetris??

🤩

The world is doing what the world does, but I’ve found myself paying much more attention to the things that make me feel alive.

So I’m stuffing my pockets with moments of joy.

A bike ride through the park.

An early morning swim before London wakes up.

Spud and Sprout being adorable a moment before mischief sets in.

Coffee in a mug a friend made for me.

Good conversations with friends outdoors.

I’ve realised joy isn’t found in the big milestones. It’s usually hiding in the ordinary.

Many people come to coaching because they’re searching for happiness.

What they often discover is that they’re looking for more of what matters.

More connection.
More purpose.
More moments that make them feel alive.

Joy reminds me that I’m participating in my life rather than watching it pass by. And I’ve realised that joy doesn’t require everything else to be sorted first.

What brings you joy?

A client and I were talking recently about overthinking and decision-making.

At one point I said: “It’s almost like you’re standing at the window trying to predict the weather instead of opening the window and finding out what it’s actually like.”

I think a lot of us do this in midlife.

We mentally rehearse every possible outcome before making a move:
career changes,
relationships,
moving house,
starting something new,
leaving something behind.

We want certainty before action. But in reality, certainty only arrives after action.

Real life gives us information that overthinking never can. 🤯

Sometimes it’s as simple as opening the window. So what would happen if you did open it? 👀

The next step can’t always be: ‘Figure out your whole future.’ 😵‍💫

If you’re stuck in overthinking, second-guessing or trying to think your way into certainty, coaching can help create movement.
