When you reconnect with yourself, your outer world starts to reflect that inner shift.

You begin making decisions from self-trust instead of self-doubt. You stop settling, start honouring your needs, and create a life that feels more like YOU.

A simple place to begin? Spend 10 minutes today without distractions and ask yourself:

How am I right now?
What do I need right now?

Then honour the answer—even if it's something small. At first we may not have the answers and that's because we're not accostomed asking ourselves these questions. That's okay. Be patient if the answers aren't there, don't try to force it.

Just keep asking each day, keep showing up willing to be curious to your own needs and desires.

Self-reconnection isn't one big breakthrough. It's the quiet practice of coming back to yourself, again and again.

Honest thoughts…
Should we all be a bit more delulu at times?

Joking not joking

We often think of boundaries as something we need to set with other people.

But one of the most important relationships boundaries affect is the relationship you have with yourself.

Because every time you push past exhaustion, ignore your needs, override your feelings, or break a promise you've made to yourself, you're teaching yourself something.

You're teaching yourself that your needs are optional.

That everyone and everything else comes first.

That your limits don't really matter.

And over time, that erodes self-trust.

On the other hand, every time you honour a boundary with yourself—even a small one—you reinforce a different belief:

✨ My needs matter.
✨ My limits matter.
✨ I can trust myself.

That's why self-love isn't only about being compassionate toward yourself.

It's also about respecting yourself enough to honour your own limits.

This week, what's one promise you'd like to keep with yourself?

I'd love to hear it below. 🧡

Needs in relationship? Part 1

Here’s how you can begin to communicate your needs specifically if you experience anxious attachment.

Firstly, it’s not the responsibility of our partner or the person we’re dating to heal our attachment style- that’s our work to do in therapy.

But secondly, by reflecting on what’s happening for you and why you can begin to communicate to your partner more clearly on what your needs are.

You might need to ask for clarity from your partner from time to time if you’re unsure but if you’re constantly craving assurance and validation it may be a signal that something from your past needs attention.

Our attachment wounds or developmental wounds are those formed throughout our early lives in relationship to the significant people in our lives- our parents, siblings, friends and first romantic partners.

If there are old wounds from these relationships, they often play out in our adult relationships. It’s important to attend to these wounds so that we can build our awareness of our autopilot reactions and form new healthier patterns of relating to the important people in our lives.
