My day in dots:
Made it to the gym today, the first time in 3 weeks.
Arrived with good BG, running a little higher (round hill of green dots) perfect for exercise. I jumped straight in the running machine, BG started going down, but unfortunately I forgot to put in the exercise mode and had a hypo (2 red dots) which I had to treat with Jellybabies, completely cancelling out the calories she’s with the warm up run 😡
Met my friend at the gym and did almost 2 hours mixed exercises (bumpy green line) Realised that the leggings I was wearing were from 12 years ago so decided to buy more on the way home.
Next graph: Whilst getting changed I pulled out my cannula on some extra tight leggings (steep green dots climb upwards)
Also you can see if you look at the top left corner that my exercise mode remained on until just now when i spotted it in the screen shot. This is very typical for me. Exercise mode can often stay on through the night and into the next day - I feel that this is a pump feature that needs looking at : ) perhaps an “exercise has ended?” alarm prompt?
Have you experienced similar?
Show me your day in graphs with text (can anyone share a link to show how to overlay text, graphics and visuals onto images to make a better version of this post? Thanks!)

Adaptive Clothing
I love that clothing brands are popping up to support people of all physical abilities and needs.
As a community we are united by Type 1, but apart from that we are all so different. We are all individuals, a wide range of ages, genders, shapes sizes and backgrounds. Which is why it can be really difficult to create an item of adaptive clothing, particularly outerwear, that all Type 1s would choose to wear… (designing a bra to suit all T1 ladies is impossible!)
That is why I designed Hid-In bands to be, themselves, uniquely adaptive, a way of keeping your cabled pump close and comfy, making it possible to wear a pump with ALL your outfits and for all activities.
With Hid-In accessories we don’t need specialist adapted clothes, we are free to wear whatever we like. Hid-In is all the adaptation we need, the band can be adjusted to fit in different positions on the body, and the colours adjusted to match different outfits. They can be worn under clothing, out of sight, or over, with an optional window to fit different access needs.
In addition, we can be the adapters and find small, simple ways to alter the clothing we love to fit our tech by choosing clothes with pockets or adding them, and adapting by snipping tubing holes.
For advice on any and all ways to wear your come to see me at the Type 1 Festival in Greenwich tomorrow!

Did I miss a trick?! ENGLAND 🏴
Hid-In is a very small business offering niche products to a small, shiny, very special community, and it only works if I can find enough people who want to buy a particular something.
As you may know I already offer a lot of options in many shapes, sizes and colours.
I had toyed with the idea of flag pouches, but I decided that making products specifically for England supporting, football loving, Type 1 insulin pump wearers, in a very short 1 month World Cup window was too small a niche even for Hid-In to serve…
Maybe I was wrong?
(I coloured in this White pouch myself as instructed by my kids! I do have White pouches in stock if you would like to do the same!)
HAPPY TO SEND THIS CHILD SIZED BAND, ONE-SIZE POUCH THAT I COLOURED IN TO THE FIRST PERSON WHO ORDERS IF YOU WOULD LIKE? It’s acrylic paint pen, so while the pouch will last forever, the red will probably only last to the final!)

TAD TALKS 2026
When you fill a room with people who share many lifetimes of Type 1 experience it’s going to be emotional.
Community events like these where we share stories are such an important part of our diabetes treatment and therapy.
Interaction is up there with insulin for me as a way of managing diabetes.
Sharing a room with Type 1 superheroes such as a pod wearing female stormtrooper, a pilot, teachers, inspiring doctors, DSNs and leaders really is a medicine.
Huge thanks to Partha Kar and the TAD Talks team for making days like these possible. We laughed together, we cried together, we shared a beer and some ideas, and we all went home a bit wiser.
