Myself (Tarik) and Damien Breen just came back from Paris where we crewed for Chris Ragsdale at Paris-Brest-Paris (1230km) at his first attempt to finish in a fast time. Chris was by far the strongest in the event but bad luck meant he lost time when his group went off course for 40km. He bravely broke away from his group and attempted to solo back to the leaders but with fatigue setting in after two nights of continuous riding, the gap was too big to close. He finished in 44h36, only 20 mins behind the leaders having escaped major crashes, put up with torrential rain and thunderstorms, and fighting his body's urge to stop and sleep. Chapeau Chris!! It was a real pleasure crewing for you and we're left in awe of your performance and your fighting spirit. The respect you earned from your fellow riders is obvious from this video clip too. Come back in 2015 :)
