💌We invite you to contribute to our collective archive project. 📚

Our Archive Book explores Tower Hamlets and surrounding communities from an internal anti-colonial lens. Together, we will be discussing the book and the role of archives in building and preserving community.

🧵Crafts: We would love for you to add your own reflections and annotations to the archive book; we will also have a range of art materials for you to make your own individual crafts.

💬Discussion Topics: Archives, People, and Power ✊🏿

As always, materials will be provided, but if you have things that you would like to bring along, feel free.

🎟️Tickets are free - PWYC, but booking is helpful as it helps us gauge numbers.

This is part of a returning series of events hosted to prioritise racialised and diaspora voices amongst growing anti-immigration sentiment. We are creating a space that is driven by and for our community, so come along to hear more and help shape this space as it unfolds.

🎨 We need more people who can actually do the work, design campaigns, make
visuals, and organise creatively, rather than just talk about it.

Launching this September in Oxford House in Bethnal Green, this free 10-week creative organising programme is designed for young people aged 18–30 who want to build skills and capacity in creative campaigning.

🪧Applications are open for Artivism Part II ✂️!

Are you interested in building creative skills for the movement? Learning how to strategically use your creativity? Or how art can create real change?

Artivism pt. II is a free, 10‑week creative‑organising programme launching this September in Bethnal Green.

👥Designed for young people aged 18–25 who want to use creative practice for collective liberation.

🗓️Launching September, Thursdays 5:30 – 7:30pm.

📍In Bethnal Green.

Artivism consists of weekly workshops, biweekly mentoring, tailored reading lists and a fully funded and supported public-facing campaign to put the skills built over the programme into action.

Our movements must deploy creativity with precision, skill, and expertise. We don’t just need artivism conceptually. We need Artivism that works. SKAPED’s Artivism programme is designed to equip you with that skillset and the theory to back it all up.
