“These are legs of a 60yo woman”.
This was a comment I received on one of my posts a few days ago. As if softness is an insult. As if texture means less worthy.
As if cellulite should silence a woman.

These legs have carried me through heartbreak, healing, joy, growth, grief, love, and every version of myself. They were never made to be decorative. They were made to be lived in 💁‍♀️

Womens bodies have always been treated like public discussion forums. Picked apart, compared, corrected, and commented on as if they exist for approval. Too soft, too toned, too big, too small, too young, too old. We are never allowed to just EXIST ✨

Cellulite is not a flaw. Ageing is not a flaw. Existing in a natural body is not a flaw. These things were made into a “problem” to make women feel like they needed fixing. But it was NEVER a flaw, just something we were taught to see that way 💔

If my legs look like they’ve lived, good. I hope they keep living beautifully. And if your body has been judged too, let this be your reminder 🫶 you do not need to be smooth, small, or perfect to be deserving of love. Society’s rules are BS, so stop bending to fit them 🤍
