I help individuals live blissfully while achieving ALL their life’s goals, by teaching them how to be MENTALLY RESILIENT.

Did you know? It is estimated that up to 95% of the things you worry about never actually happen.

Yet, about 60% of your mental energy is spent ruminating on these worries, increasing your risk of developing depression, anxiety, and burnout.

In my years of practice as a psychiatrist, I have seen how stressful life events can trigger episodes of mental illness.

Sometimes, life presents difficult situations that are beyond your control. However, you can learn to stay calm by focusing on what you can control: your response.

Knowing how to respond, rather than react, to stress is crucial for your peace of mind and mental well-being.

In today’s video, I explain how to respond to stress using the STOP technique.

If you find it helpful, don’t just watch it, share it with others and save it for future reference.

Comment “MINDSET RESET”, and I’ll send you a link to my YouTube video, where you’ll learn practical strategies to overcome rumination and regain control of your thoughts.

Have you ever been bullied by a boss, supervisor, or trainer? How did you cope, and what helped you get through it? 🚨🚨🚨

I don’t know what it’s like in every profession, but in medicine, hierarchy is real and anyone who has worked in the field knows it.

During my training in Nigeria, I understood the culture and knew how to navigate the system. So, when I relocated to the UK, I genuinely believed the learning environment would be different.

In many ways, it was but I also came to realise that some International Medical Graduates still experience discrimination, bullying, and subtle microaggressions from those responsible for training them.

I experienced it myself. It affected my mental health so deeply that I spent an entire year in therapy just to recover. Looking back, I know I was fortunate.

Not everyone finds the strength or support to speak up, and sadly, not everyone survives the emotional toll. We’ve heard heartbreaking stories of healthcare professionals who have died by su***de after enduring toxic workplace environments.

Medicine is already demanding. We work long hours, carry enormous responsibility, and constantly push ourselves to give patients our best. The least we deserve is a training environment that helps us grow not one that breaks us.

Despite everything, I completed my training. But I know my story could have ended very differently, and many others don’t get the happy ending they deserve.

The good news? Not every trainer is like that.

I’ve had the privilege of working with consultants and trainers who are kind, supportive, and generous with constructive feedback. They taught me that you can uphold high standards without humiliating people.

Now that I’m going to be a trainer, I’ve made a promise to myself: I will challenge my trainees, but I will never destroy their confidence. I never want to be the reason someone needs therapy because of how they were treated at work.

Kindness and excellence can exist together.

Which of these behaviours do you need to let go of right now? 🚨🚨🚨

Sometimes, the biggest thing standing between you and the life you want……..is YOU.

It’s easy to blame other people or circumstances when things aren’t going our way. But real growth begins when we take an honest look at ourselves and ask: How might I be contributing to my own setbacks?

As a psychiatrist, I’ve seen this time and time again. No matter how much I want to help someone feel better, lasting change is almost impossible without insight, motivation, and a willingness to take responsibility.

In today’s video, I share 5 self-sabotaging behaviours that could be keeping you stuck and how to break free from them.

Which one resonates with you the most?

Save this post to come back to later, and share it with someone who needs to hear this today.

P.S: I’ve opened a few slots this month for those who wants to work 1:1 with me. Comment “CLARITY,” and I’ll send you the link to book a session with me.

🚨 Let’s take a moment to practice gratitude🚨

What is one thing you once prayed for that God has now blessed you with?

Share your testimony in the comments so we can celebrate and rejoice with you! 🎉❤️

You never know who needs to read your story today. I believe your testimony will inspire someone to keep believing, keep praying, and keep trusting God.

As we step into this new month, my prayer for you is that God will fill your heart with peace that surpasses all understanding, unspeakable joy, divine favor, and abundant blessings. May every good desire He has placed in your heart come to pass in His perfect time.

If you receive this prayer, say Amen! 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

Happy New Month, beautiful minds! May this month bring you nothing but reasons to smile, celebrate, and give God all the glory. 🥰❤️😍

About 95% of the things you worry about never happen. So why let worry steal your peace and joy?

As a psychiatrist, I’ve worked with clients who struggle with excessive worry and anxiety, using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to help them challenge and change unhelpful thinking patterns.

In today’s video, I share five evidence-based strategies for managing excessive worry and anxiety.

If you find this helpful, don’t keep it to yourself. Share it with others and save it for future reference.

Which jacket should I keep? 🤔

A. Teal
B. Royal blue
C. Fuchsia
D. Pale pink
E. All of the above

I’m still in awe of how quickly time has flown and how God has seen me through the last three years of rigorous training in forensic psychiatry.

I faced some very difficult challenges and setbacks, but I overcame them all to the glory of God.

It feels so good to experience life post-CCT (Certificate of Completion of Training), and I can’t wait to see my name on the GMC Specialist Register as a Forensic Psychiatrist!

For now, though, help me decide which workwear jacket I should keep. 😊

How’s your weekend going? 🥰❤️🥰

Mental illnesses are medical conditions, not just spiritual problems. ❌❌❌

n my experience as a psychiatrist, I have seen many people present late to mental health facilities after visiting different prayer mountains because they believed their mental illness was spiritual in nature.

Science has repeatedly shown that mental illnesses are caused by multiple factors, collectively classified as biopsychosocial factors. People with mental illnesses often improve when these factors are properly identified and addressed.

Sadly, not everyone achieves full recovery because of delayed presentation to hospitals and mental health services. We need to change the narrative and normalize seeking help from psychiatrists and other mental health professionals.

It is okay to pray to God and also take your medications. God has given psychiatrists and psychologists the wisdom to help people, and it is your choice to believe in and benefit from the care they provide.

Don’t just watch, share this message with others, because mental health awareness is everybody’s business.

Thank you for tagging me on this post.

One thing I love about my job as a psychiatrist is seeing how intentional God is about our mental well-being.

Not only did He create the brain with all its complexities, but He also provided “happy chemicals” that work in the brain to boost our mental health, enhance productivity, and help us fulfill our God-given purpose on earth.

Sadly, unhealthy habits have taken over, especially among those seeking quick fixes and dopamine rushes, often leading to addictive behaviours.

In today’s video, I share five ways to activate dopamine the God-given way and boost your brain health.

Perhaps you don’t need a dopamine detox, you just need the right way to activate it.

Share this video with someone who needs it, and save it for yourself.

Happy Sunday, beautiful minds! 😍❤️🥰
