This is a Matisse inspired class and will be 1 hour and 30 minutes in length. This added time will give you a chance to really embrace the activity and relax whilst you make your art.

As Matisse aged, he found it difficult to continue painting. This led to his discovery of collage and he made beautiful artworks from coloured paper.

In my art class, you will
- practice drawing outlines of figures
- experiment with successful colour combinations
- cut and stick (release the inner child!)

Art classes are Pay As You Feel. This means they are free but contributions are very welcome once you have attended the class.

Title: Shading Faces in Shadow and Light

Date: Monday 13th December, 2021

Time:
7:30pm - 8:20pm 6 places
8:45pm - 9:35pm 6 places

Cost: Pay As You Feel - a link will be available after the class

Schedule: Drawing faces (your own!) in light and shadow [see attached image]. The class will start with three quick exercises to practice drawing with confidence and speed. These will be followed by a structured 25 minute drawing exercise to create a developed work.

You need: A free standing mirror (to draw your face), a pencil, rubber, sharpener, black biro, yellow highlighter or pen and 4 sheets of paper.
