Running For Jen

I have been well and truly bitten by the marathon bug. Off to Dublin in October to do another one.

So I am now on the taper for London Marathon on Sunday. I have been checked out by the doctor and am running fit. I have followed the Run Lounge 16 week plan almost to the letter and am therefore feeling much more prepared than the last time I took on this marathon challenge.
Tomorrow I shall be going up to the Marathon Expo to collect my running number which is 9176 and get some last minute tips from the experts.

With just days to go until the 2012 Virgin London Marathon, the excitement is building for Sunday. I know some of my friends will be with me on the day, but for those of you at home wondering how the runners are doing, you can follow us in two ways:

Friends and family can access race day information from 07:00 on Sunday, by either clicking on the link below or visiting the Virgin London Marathon website. All you need is the runners name or race number (I am 54043) and you find out where we are on the course.

Thomas Cook is supporting Jo's Cervical Cancer Trust with a Pink Day in their Amersham shop tomorrow. I shall be going along in my marathon kit to raise awareness of cervical cancer and hopefully raise a few pennies too. They have organised a raffle and there are some fab prizes such as Thomas Cook Vouchers up for grabs. Lollies for the kids and a lucky dip too. So if you are in the area, please pop in. Oh yes, and Mickey Mouse will be joining us too!

I shall be taking part in the Berkhampsted Half Marathon tomorrow as part of my marathon training. If you are in the area, come along and support the runners. We are starting from Berkhampsted Cricket Club at 10am. I shall be wearing Jo's pink t-shirt and my Runnning Funky uniquely colorful activewear trousers too so you won't be able to miss me.
