No doubt you’ve seen this picture on socials before, as it’s being doing the rounds for a week or so…

NEVER stack your logs 🪵 next to your log burner!

Eventually they will reach their thermal capacity from radiated heat from the burner and catch fire. 🔥

Always keep combustibles away from the log burner.

This isn’t our incident or picture, but many years ago we attended a very similar incident in Cartway.

Did you get some wax melts for Christmas?

Firefighters have issued safety advice after a wax melt candle ignited in a family home yesterday.

The family had bought some home-made wax melts which caught fire once the wax started to heat up. They were alerted by their smoke alarm and were able to get outside safely and call 999.

🕯️Be careful when using home-made candles or wax melts. These may contain different ingredients which can produce lower ignition temperatures which means there is a risk they will set alight.
🚨Have a smoke alarm on every floor of your property
