'An end of the day drink"
We're enjoying a heatwave in the UK at the moment and so make sure we water the plants at the end of the day.
I captured this shot of my husband watering, just before the watering can ran dry. Waiting until later in the day when it's cooler has the added advantage of shooting in the approaching golden hour!

Week 20 - Meaningful Location - Cosy Reading Nook
I was saying recently that one of my favourite states of being is that of being 'cosy'.
I love the word and I love creating cosy environments.
Which is why this little reading area in our home is a meaningful place for me.
I have to confess I don't sit there as often as I should, but even walking past - as I do several times a day, is enough to bring a smile to my face 😊

If I were to name my photos (which I actually do occasionally), this would be called 'Optimism'.
The dark storm clouds rolling in, the nearly empty beach, but we still decided to set up with our beach blanket and chair...

'No Way!'
We're on holiday in Cornwall at the moment and on the 1st of May went to Padstow to take in their annual 'Obby 'Oss Festival.
On the fringe of the main event were fairground rides and I quickly grabbed this shot of a scarey ride (not sure what it's called) as we returned to our holiday location on the ferry.

Week 17 - Inspired by a photographer

My inspiration here is David Bailey. I've always loved his very stark, stripped back portraits from the 60s.
I feel we have the potential to connect more with the subject when we see them in this raw, unadorned setting.
As usual, Steve was persuaded to be my muse!
